Nice and helpful staff. Good choice of lagers. Good food, we had some stews, meat and cheese platter, meatballs and sausages. All good but on the end we've been faced with not fair extra charge for meat when cheese wasn't available. Anyway good and nice, fine atmosphere. We really enjoyed it.

We visited here for our last meal before moving away from Otley and finally had the oysters! Well now I really regret not having them sooner! They were up there with the best I have had and the accompanying Henderson's was a great touch. We also had the meat board which was really tasty and there was absolutely loads for the price. Classic stew as always. Good beer, wine and gin selection too. Really friendly and helpful staff!

Good food pleasant obliging staff. Dog friendly. We were a party of 2 vegans. 3 vegetarians, and 3 meat eaters. plenty of choice for all. Everyone left well satisfied. Sorry I was too busy enjoying the food to remember to take photos, hence only 2 fantastic puds. Looking forward to our next trip north as they now open for breakfasts.!!!

A really great pub/restaurant, relaxed, modern and family friendly. The staff and manager were excellent, very friendly and passionate about the place. Lovely food, we tried two different stews and they were very tasty and a very reasonable price. The cheese board was amazing. A great selection of beer....basically if you are in Otley then give this place a try you wont be disappointed

Remarkable revamp of an old building pulled off very well. Handy parking too for an atmospheric bar and restaurant. Didn't have time for the food but it did have an interesting and significantly different set of drinks available. Staff were willing and friendly. Would definitely pop in again

Good service, spacious place, though noisy as it is a little cavernous when busy. The decor inside was unique and good seating with a mixture of sofas, chairs and stools. A place popular with those with children. This pub was the house that the famous furniture maker Chippendale was born in. Good selection of gins too. Decent toilets

We went to the Stew & Oyster as a small group having not visited before. The menu was really interesting with a great range of stews sadly they had just sold out of a really nice looking chicken and chorizo! I went for an Italian meatball which was lovely, came in a single serving stew pot complete with lid which was a nice touch and a huge hunk of a crusty bread! It had great flavour and a really good portion full of meatballs :) would definitely recommend and the price was really reasonable at under £8! Nice ale on tap and good food will be going back!

Warm, friendly, cosy. Nice food. Helpful and friendly team. Great service. Nice selection of beers. Cheerful ambience. What more could you ask for. Came here on New Year's Eve too. The team went out of their way to create a friendly, fun and welcoming party atmosphere with free canapes through the evening and fizz at midnight. DJ a bit too 60s for me but everyone else enjoyed it immensely so easy to go with the flow. Really loved that we could order a bottle of wine and the lovely staff kept it aside in the fridge for us so we could enjoy it through the evening at the right temp. It's the little things that make a place great.

We visited on Thursday and there was only one other couple in the restaurant. We had the lamb stew and it was wonderful, nice bread and butter came with the meal, we ordered extra potatoes X 2, one lot would have been enough. Our tea came with free brownies which were to die for!! Worth a visit for these alone. We will definitely be going again to try the other stews

Went at Sunday lunchtime. Very dog friendly, brought a water bowl and some biscuits for the dog. Staff were superb, very friendly and accommodating. Food was excellent, had some sandwiches, big sandwich with lovely bread. Then coffee with free brownies! Fantastic!

This is a wonderful little gem of a restaurant. A simple menu, almost entirely consisting of (you guessed it) stews and oysters, but what more do you need when the stews and oysters are so good? Hearty, filling, delicious food, very friendly staff, nice decor, good beer......what more do you need?

Food is delicious and well presented. Staff very friendly. Large play area upstairs keeps young children well occupied while in full view of adults. A very enjoyable experience I would recommend to all.
