Buon Apps is situated in a beautiful location next to the River Wharfe. The food we had was of a very high standard, and we were really impressed by the service. The restaurant has a great vibe about it and feels very authentic. Prices are slightly above average. There is a small section inside the main restaurant where you can buy genuine Italian chocolate and biscuits. Buon Apps comes highly recommended. There is ample car parking right next to the restaurant.

What a fabulous afternoon we all had. The service was exceptional. All the food came out together and piping hot. Everyone loved their food, my roast porchetta was delicious. We ordered a gluten free cake, which was moist and tasty. It came beautifully decorated and then they sliced up for everyone. Five star for the food, service and ambience
This is a premium restaurant set in a fairly lovely place right beside the River Wharfe in Otley.
There is a free car park right beside the restaurant.
The interior decor is pleasing.
Each area feels intimate.
The choice of dishes is good and the staff are pleasant.
Our confirmed booking had got missed/lost, but the team bent over backwards to fit us in and meet our requests.
The puddings were exceptional.
Our main dishes were great, but not exceptional.
You pay above average to eat here and it is worth it. The dishes are not standard, run-of-the-mill pub or Italian fare. They have an interesting twist. However, for us the main dishes didn’t have a wow factor.
Nevertheless, I’d recommend Buon Apps.
Wow, just wow. This place is beautiful. The setting by the river is stunning, especially in the spring sunshine. Service is prompt and very efficient. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food is so good you have to try it. The Ragu was full of flavour and the lasagna was authentic in style and taste. I enjoyed my pizza and garlic bread. Very rustic and with great flavours of the cheese and tomato base
Went for a birthday meal. Quick friendly service and an extensive menu. I went for the belly pork which was lovely and shared Tiramisu and lemon cheesecake. All delicious

Not the cheapest, but quality looked really good, taking a look at the nearby occupied table.
We just had a hot chocolate with whipped cream and a morrocan mint tea. When we ordered a piece of panatone cake, the kind waiter asked if we would like it toasting, something we had never previously tried, despite holidaying in Italy numerous times.
It was a revelation and tasted great!
I'm looking forward to having a meal there.

Really nice dinner out with great food, fantastic service and decent Italian wine. Would have given it 5 stars, but the wine was a little over priced (£61 for a Chianti Classico Riserva which is ~£21 a bottle in shops or online). Would eat and just pop in for drinks here a lot more if the good Italian wines were a bit less pricey. Would also mean more people could access and try some of the mega wines Italy has to offer without leaving Yorkshire 🙂
What an incredible restaurant, the food was phenomenal and the setting is stunning. We had the seafood starter which was so fresh and then the tagliatelle with half lobster from the specials menu. One of the best meals I have had I'm a long time and it was our wedding anniversary so they reserved us a window seat and gave us a free glass of prosecco each. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening.
Update 2022: still incredible, looked after my whole family really well, amazing new menu and service is second to none.
I have eaten at burn apps numerous times and the food and service is always brilliant. Most recently we went to celebrate our nanny’s birthday and I had requested a table with good access and few stairs. We were sat on the ground floor near the kitchen, We had a lovely view of the river from the table and the room was not noisy so no need to shout to have a conversation like you have to in some restaurants. We were all pleased with our meals and would recommend the lasagne & bucatini all'amatriciana.
Lovely meal. There were 13 of us, so we had to pre book our order. I was worried that the meal would be over too quickly, but the service wasn't rushed and, even though it was really busy, we didn't feel pressured to leave the second we'd finished. Really enjoyed the meal and the service.
Taken here for a 40th birthday meal by my lovely partner. Lovely restaurant with seating outside or on cosy upper floor with ceiling to floor windows showing the river outside. Food was top notch, the potatoes that came with my pork shoulder (Arosto De Agnello) were just out of the world good. The peanut stack pudding was absolute decadence too. Beautiful meal, loved it and definitely going back.
With daughter and sister celebrated Mother's Day yesterday evening.
First visit and totally enjoyed everything. Will certainly visit again.

However, the lit up terrace dining area overlooking the River is delightful and such an atmospheric area to enjoy cocktails and excellent food.
The food is simply stunning!
Having heard about Buon Apps from others, I thought I’d give it a try. I was not disappointed.
The service was great, the view was beautiful and the food was on another level.
Ample parking outside of the restaurant and whilst the upstairs portion of the restaurant may not be pram or wheelchair friendly, there is ample seating downstairs.
Buon Apps is most definitely on the list to visit again, and soon!

We regularly dine here and it’s one of our favourite Italian restaurants in the country. Very authentic taste, everything is cooked to perfection. A but on the pricey side, however a visit there is totally worth it. Friendly owner and staff.
An absolute gem of a place oozing Italian authenticity. We've been back to Buon Apps numerous times since it opened several years ago. The service has always been excellent and the food delicious. The covered outdoor dining area is a great addition and I'd highly recommend the daily specials. Booking is essential as this place is deservedly popular.
Excellent Italian food with very good atmosphere
Absolutely amazing. All in all the decor and the friendliness of the staff made a great atmosphere. The food was exceptional, the Staff were fantastic and accommodating. They knew about which wines would suit our taste. We have already booked to come back and can't wait.

What a find! We came across this place completely by chance after a nice walk by the river in Otley. We hadn't booked so didn't eat. Very busy, great atmosphere and both the menu and food looked great! We gave already planned a return visit to eat there.
