We had a rib eye steak, onion rings, proper home made coleslaw with home made Mayo and a ton of chunky chips! And gammon egg and a ton of chips. All home made. Excellent. We like real ale and there was no selection just one on the hand pump. The staff were friendly and helpful with my Lacto intolera
Popped into this pub on Saturday 26 August with my daughter for a bite to eat. We weren't disappointed. Lovely meal and the chips were definitely home made. Hoping to take my sister in there this coming week

Great food - vegetarian pie was delicious - great prices and good service. Nice new decor and overall a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
Can’t recommend this place enough. We’ve never had a bad meal here, the chicken curry is a favourite, absolutely delicious.

The Red Lion Inn commonly known as the top red is a popular venue for locals especially on market days, the clientele on a Wednesday are usually of an older generation. The farmers from surrounding villages can be found in the top red discussing current farming affairs & the price of a good efferves
Friendly staff...and good food! Where else can you get a full roast for £6.80? I will be coming again.
