We like to do the afternoon tea scene and this was our first visit to Lepones.
1: Initial phone booking very nice and polite, Food and drink explained and choice of extra sandwiches because we didn't want prawns.
2: Upon arrival greeted with warm smiles and very polite attitude.
3: Quality of food and drinks was exceptional and plentiful although would of liked a coffee refill.
4: Venue was exceptional and very well maintained.
We liked our visit so much we have already booked four more afternoon teas for another visit with family.

Another amazing meal at Lepones, to celebrate mine and my partners wedding. Staff are lovely, friendly and can't do enough for you. Food is fantastic. Try the homemade crepes and ice cream, literally to die for!

I was taken for an Italian sparkling afternoon tea by my daughter as a present. The whole experience was fantastic- the food was plentiful and tasty; the staff friendly and helpful and the surroundings calm, clean and in keeping with the original building. Couldn’t fault it at all, would highly recommend.
Always excellent food. We have never had a bad meal. Service is friendly and welcoming. I hope it goes from strength to strength !!!!! If you don't want a full meal coffee & teacake served all day and they also do a traditional English afternoon tea which is brilliant. I would urge everyone to try it!!!!!
Last minute booking on a opportune visit. What a beautiful setting, so much character, attentive staff and fabulous delicious food. Highly recommended.

We visited lepones to celebrate a hen party last night and it was fantastic. We opted for the cocktails and italian buffet. It was all wonderful!! There was a slight mix up with the food but staff were fab and soon rectified this by serving extra pizzas and pasta dishes. Nothing was a problem and staff were all accommodating. Special thank you to Paolo and his team for making our evening wonderful!!!

Arrived in Oswestry mid afternoon on Saturday and enquired as to places to eat locally...owner of B n B recommended Lepones! NOT at all disappointed...food was outstanding. Superb sweet menu, simple yet very tasty! Cannot recommend enough...try it you wont be disappointed! Well done to all at Lepones...a little gem in Oswestry's crown! 10 out of 10😁👍
Great food at a competitive price. Had the antipasto sharer to start. Everything from the bread to the olives was really good. Then had pizza and risotto. Pizza was light and tasty. Went on a Thursday evening so all a bit quiet but friendly, efficient service (I think they were bar staff, front of house food runner and everything else!). Would recommend.
I booked lepones for a meal, for our anniversary. We was staying in Oswestry so I wanted somewhere close. I booked online a week in advance, and got a reply next day confirming. We went for the meal, and was met by a very nice, friendly girl. We sat ordered our food, and when it came it looked very nice. We both had starters, both very nice. We both had steak and it was cooked just right for us both. Puddings again very nice. The girl/waitress was very nice. We had no complaints at all, and enjoyed a very nice meal, for our anniversary. Would recommend Lepones.
The spaghetti with meatballs was delicious!! Lovely staff, great service, and pretty decor. Would definitely return.

Visiting wales for a couple days and fancied some Italian food. A few people recommended lepones with high praises so I decided to visit it myself. Fantastic service, staff offered me a drink while I waited for my food. The food came quicker than expected and was both hot and tasty. I recommend the spaghetti al pomodoro. Pleasant atmosphere in the restaurant as well. I genuinely would come again with the family the next time I have the opportunity to visit Oswestry again.

Lovely last minute meal out - great food and drinks, pleasant and efficient staff (especially seeing as there was only person serving several tables), and great decor and atmosphere. We haven't been for a good few years, but great to see the quality of the food and service is still great, and my fave starter crostino de contadino was still on the menu, and just as tasty as I remember. It is a slightly reduced menu now due to covid, but still enough choice for us pescetarians. Portions were pretty generous - loads of bread in the sourdough and olives starter, and I was expecting the sea bass to be quite small, so nice surprise there! One ice cream sundae was more than enough for two of us to share as dessert after the other courses. Presentation of the food was beautiful as always.
Not too crowded, well-ventilated, and covid measures were clear and adhered to, so we felt safe. As an added bonus I very much enjoyed the 60s/70s music playlist they had on, and I could hear a few other people humming along as well! All in all, a great evening out, and I'm very glad we picked Lepone's.
Exquisite food, super friendly family run restaurant, excellent value for money. Will be coming back!
I come over to Oswestry regularly from Chester just to visit Lepones. The food is amazing and really authentic Italian. You can tell everything is fresh and homemade- especially the tiramisu! The spaghetti gamberi is so good I really recommend it. Service is always very efficient and so friendly- thank you especially to Kathryn for always looking after us so well and always with a smile. Thank you guys!
