We had a meal only. It was a lovely pub/hotel. The service was excellent. Very friendly staff. The meal was super delicious. Absolutely perfect. One of the best I've had. Pan seared salmon on a bed of garlic and thyme mash laid on tomato and basil sauce. Mouth watering. Applecrumble and custard /ice
Bar food was OK. 2 x scampi n chips, 1 x Tuna sandwich and 1 x cheese burger. Plus a few drinks. Used this as a stop of whilst walking as it was situated in the centre of the village. Very quiet. Not busy at all at 1230 in August.
Had lunch outside, just a sandwich but the bacon was freshly cooked just right and the fried eggs were crispy with soft yolks. After a long walk it really hit the spot.
(Pub only, we didn't stay) Staff are friendly, decent choice of drinks. Pretty expensive for what it is, but nice outside seating area & in a lovely location. Great for a post hike pint! The food is average for the price, nothing special but nice enough.
There's no rating on the rooms as I only had food and drink scampi (10 pieces) and chips was good fish and chips was excellent fish was well cooked crispy batter plenty of skin on chips mushy peas as well .

Very yummy Sunday roast, we tidied up after long 72.2 mile walk. Lovely landlady Ginny and extremely well decorated and refurbished, and the hotel!
Called in here for lunch. Would not have been our first choice but other two pubs in village closed. However, a great choice. Dog friendly. We both had a bacon, two eggs baquet and shared a plate of yummy chips. Thoroughly enjoyed and food reasonable prices. Would have given 5⭐️s but £8 plus fo
After a long walk and being caught in the rain, 5 of us @ 3 pm sat outside the front of the pub in the sun, loads of tables with sun umbrellas over (electric heaters attached) to choose from. Within minutes a lovely pleasant cheerful lady came out and took our drink and food order. We waited approx
Decent, wholesome food and good service. Pretty quiet, and could have done with the fire on to warm things up a bit. Beer selection was reasonable, but a free hand-pulls were off, leaving on Tim Taylor’s Landlord on offer - which was good enough.
