We Had a great meal. The staff easily and pleasantly coped with twelve if us including one who is gluten and lactose intolerant. The menu is varied and interesting. Thoroughly recommended.

Fabulous place to end a walk. Bigger in inside than expected and the secret garden at the back is brilliant. Perfect for a hot summer’s day. Decor faultless. Definitely the place to go

Delicious Sunday Lunch! Accommodated 6 of us (+ a dog) & a last minute request to change our table reservation time with absolutely no issues. Polite staff, the food all arrived in a timely fashion & was delicious on all counts! We've passed by often but we'll definitely make an effort to drop in from now on :)

Lovely village pub, great service from really pleasant staff. Room & bathroom immaculate & nicely furnished in a country style. Bar & restaurant area really nicely refurbished too & a good atmosphere to sit and chill with a drink and have something nice to eat. Quality of food very good, both breakfast & dinner. They even have the most adorable pub cat, Garfield, who loves a fuss.

We stumbled into this excellent place on our way to Mount Grace Priory- decided to have a quick pizza and beer. The service and atmosphere were fantastic and pizzas were excellent. It has recently been done up going by the furniture and feel of the place- really nicely done and very comfortable. Can’t wait to return.

Booked at short notice, very friendly and comfortable but quirky, toilet separate from basin one needed to climb over bed. The food was good, as was the drink and the selection.

We only have one complaint, the towels provided - Moon House - were rock hard and like sandpaper, they seriously need to be replaced! Other than that, excellent, hearty breakfasts and friendly staff. 👍

Popped in on a quiet Saturday for late lunch. Seated quickly and service pleasant. Menu is small but seems to cover the essentials well. Booze available is a good standard. Environment pleasant and comfortable with a nice bar area at the front and sizable restaurant further back.

Called in for refreshments after a walk along Cleveland Way and Cod Beck reservoir. Lovely place, Sunday lunch looked to die for, plenty of people eating there so very popular. Will definitely think about going back for food.

Lovely relaxed village pub, open fires, dogs allowed in bar only which is nice for people without dogs who can sit in another area. Food is outstanding, freshly cooked to order so dishes can be adjusted to suit different tastes or diet requirements. Try the Tuns, it won't disappoint!

Lovely pub, good pint options and amazing food. We went on a Sunday with a load of kids, probably scared most folk away with the rabble but the staff were amazing and super friendly. I had fish coujons and lamb dinner absolutely faultless, could have quite easily have stayed for more drinks but had to head back to Leeds. Great place, highly recommended!

Great little village pub with a good selection of beers and decent, generously-portioned food. I had a very enjoyable cod and scallop bake followed by a proper homemade burger (chips and onion rings also home-cooked). Fair prices and friendly service; they obligingly provided my daughter's dessert in a takeaway box as she couldn't manage it at the time. Would certainly return.
