I live around the corner from this restaurant and have been many of times, my latest visit was very good, staff are very happy, friendly, helpful and professional. Food was really good, tasty and hot, steak done perfectly,ELT in the mouth, will be going more often now it has got LOADS better 👍
We had a lovely family dinner at The Gate today. The food was excellent and lots to choose from, everyone enjoyed their choice of meal. The food was delicious. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be going again

Can’t fault The Gate. Always have a good meal and great service. I also like the fact that they take the Blue Light Card as I’m a carer and the discount comes in handy when you have a larger party that comes.

We visit here often when my parents are over and are always met with wonderful friendly staff, today our server Michelle greeted us at the door and was her usual lovely self. She even remembers my daughter’s name every time we visit and makes an effort to talk to her. My husband is in a wheelchair

The food was great and good value with 30% off mains. We sat in a cosy quiet spot which was better than previous visits. The staff were very welcoming, helpful and polite. One young lady in particular stood out for being especially helpful and chatty but unfortunately I did not note her name.
The staff are always friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. Service is always quick and never had a bad meal.
