This was the first pub, as an individual, I went to in 1981. I believe it's been through a few managers since then.
It's a lovely pub inside, full of character and has a decent garden, for those wishing to be outside. It also has a function room you can hire.

Absolutely lush pub who could not do enough for us. We've been here a few times now and the food is always delicious! The staff were absolutely brilliant and the range of drinks was great. They have a bookable room in the back or a large pub area.
Enjoyable birthday celebration. The staff were friendly and helpful the buffet had a good selection & was of a good standard. 2nd party we've had here and loved it both times.
Just had a drink, will definitely go back for food. Very dog friendly if you have a dog
Quality and value
This is a good pub restaurant for the family. There's a nice garden with climbing apparatus for the kids. The food was good value and tastes good. No complaints!
Be prepared to be ignored by irregulars of you are here for the first time. Nice staff though. Don't get me wrong. Oh you already have..
An old and slightly worn PH with a nice friendly atmosphere. Popular with dogs and their owners .
We were a coach full of football supporters ( well behaved ones)that stopped at this pub (pre arranged). Not our usual routine but we all said we must stop here again. They were welcoming, food was lush, a good variety and competitively priced. Good range of beers and spirits. Highly recommend.
Excellent Sunday lunch for 3 adults a child and a dog. They even have a dog meal

We had booked the pub for a wake after a service at the nearby church. The staff were excellent and very attentive to our guests. Food provided was good and we were made to feel most welcome.
