Brilliant chippy. Must have been in Ormskirk one of the longest if not the longest in the area. Meals amazing. Never disappoint. Would highly recommend.
It's good. It's been there for decades. I just about remember going there after a few scoops in The Chelsea Reach back in the day. It's longevity speaks volumes. The place is a gold mine. Just wish we could pay by card.

Called in today 20th October on my way to Southport. Had my heart set on a kebab but they no longer serve them at lunch time.
So my second choice was a sausage dinner. I have to say the dinner is pricey but the food was lovely. Peas, gravy, sausage and chips all very tasty and plentiful.
Ordered 3 portions of Fish & Chips to pick up & collect.
They were all individually boxed as requested.
They were delicious plenty chips & the fish were nearly as long as the boxes.
Very pleased & the ladies behind the counter were polite & helpful.
Definitely coming again worth every penny.πππππ΄π₯«π§

Best chippy in Ormskirk. Don't eat chips much these days but more often than not I call in at the Acropolis when in town.
Big portions and good service. Nice food too.
Great mix of cuisine. I had a cooked to order Tai box, a well filled box of chicken, noodles and veg, couldn't eat another thing! Husband enjoyed his traditional pie and chips (massive chip portion). Delighted.
Absolutely the best chippy in the area, fish is always freshly cooked and tastes Devine, nice crunchy batter with loads of flavour, chips are perfect, the curry sauce is to die for, staff are polite and efficient, canβt recommend them highly enough πππ

Me and my hubby drive all the way from Liverpool to this chippy once a week, the food is second to none, lovely fresh fish, cooked expertly while you wait, happy, friendly staff. The place is very clean and we love the news paper printed boxes the fish and chips come in. This place is a credit to Ormskirk, ignore the negative reveiws, those folks must have a chip on their shoulder (should have eaten it, if it was from here. lol)
The Acropolis, is one of the best you'll find, we've used them for over 40yrs. The fish is really good. The noodles, in fact all the Chinese food is excellent. Service is very good. There's plenty of staff. It's clean. You can't go wrong π
This is one of the few takeaways that has never failed me and that takes some beating, seriously. I've driven out of my way from my student days. Originally I used to get the amazing burgers they used to make but now I have found they for me make one of the best fish and chips, if not the best in Ormskirk. I must remember to take a picture next time but I'm usually famished and devour my meal. I'm never left disappointed or hungry always satisfied π
