Perhaps not the best time for a great atmosphere (17:30) those who are drinking are soaking up the last ☀️in the beer garden. Added to this - the newly crowned young pub chef of the year is away on his hols in 🇭🇷. The ale nevertheless is great - a choice of 3 on cask.
Absolutely fantastic experience. The staff were lovely and attentive, the menu had plenty I would have liked to have picked.

Me and my mum went here for tea last night. It was lovely and always has been for many many years now. This is why its one of the best places to eat in Ormskirk. Thanks to the staff who are a pleasure.
The food had always been good over last few years. Stopped coming for a time when there was a really rude waitress luckily it looks like she left. Great food and atmosphere. Probably worth ignoring some if the one review people who write some spurious comments. Worth a visit!
Visited for a family birthday meal. Food was amazing. Starter was crispy chicken and my main was topside of beef. Although I waited for both after others where eating I received a free drink. The crispy chicken was full of spicy flavour. The beef gravy was yum 😋

Great tasty food with plenty of options, we went for the lunch time menu and were not disappointed! Great allergy awareness too (wife is gluten free)! We had been due to be getting married but unfortunately covid has meant we had to postpone for now. However, we wanted to enjoy some quality time together in places that we love. Obviously we couldn't miss this lovely place.

Food was excellent. They did swap out the broccoli for spinach on the pork belly without asking us, but otherwise it was very tasty.

Nice place, attended following step sons graduation. Busy due to this. Staff managed to ensure all orders dealt with quickly. Food was nice and reasonable portions. Would recommend.
