Wonderful customer service from Emma and the team. Went out of their way to help make our stay possible, helped throughout and even after we’d left!
Really cosy atmosphere and delicious food. Perfect location for exploring. Already planning to come back soon.
We didn’t eat there BUT it looked great. To be honest it’s steeped in awesome history and they’ve preserved that legacy so well. You get a sense of history and time when you set foot in there. Such great Adnams Ales. 100% take your time and settle in for a session.
What a fantastic evening at the Jolly Sailor, just a hop, skip and a jump from where we are staying. Emma and team looked after us so well and the food, wine, hospitality and this delightful English pub are worth returning to again and again. Great to see how Emma’’s management has reinvigorated one
Our first visit since the new owners took over last year - they've made quite a difference. The outdoor bar and new staff for one. But the food today was just stunning. The chicken and tarragon pie was beautifully cooked, and my son said the stacked burger was the best meal he'd ever had.
2024- Staff were very nice and attentive to us, a table of 7. Good selection of food, however a limited options for vegetarians so we asked what else the chef could do and they made us a meal not on the menu.
Lovely little pub, would recommend if visiting Orfors. Price for drinks much cheaper than o
We visited for lunch and were warmly welcomed by the staff. We sat in the garden with our dog and had two delicious vegan burgers, as well as a local ale. Despite it being busy, the staff were really attentive and the food was excellent, as well as reasonably priced. We'd definitely come back again
As others have commented, the Jolly Sailors is steeped in history and has so much character. We only had a light meal (not anything shown below) but the quality was excellent, as was the service. we stayed overnight and the room was relatively large, as was the bathroom, and the bed very comfortable
Very nice spot of lunch - onion bhaji wrap, fresh salad and perfect chips. Nice half of local lager.
Lovely pub, good atmosphere and friendly staff.
Nice range of Adnams beers and ciders.
Only one suggestion - to have more than one vegetarian main choice on offer. The mushroom burger was nice but it would have been good to have a choice.

Popped on the way past after visiting the Orford castle nearby. Staff were amazingly accommodating and friendly. Dinner arrived fast, and portions were very generous. Pinning this place ready for my next visit.
It's been some time since I visited here, but when I did, it was the best homemade meal I'd had in any restaurant/pub. It was a freshly made vegetarian burger, in rustic bun, with chips, salad and coleslaw. The meal covered every inch of the plate, made better by the classic farmhouse table it sat o
Called in for a pint and some lunch and relaxed in the beer garden.
Service was a bit slow, but to be fair, there was no hurry.
The open crayfish sandwich was amazing, so sweet and delicious. Staff were friendly. The only think that let's it down is the price of the drinks. A pint of shandy for £4.8
Dropped in for a quick pint and a snack. Staff very friendly and helpful, and the small dish of goats cheese with caramelised onion salad was superb. Orford is a little out of the way to get to, but well worth the trip, and this pub, close to the quay, should be on your list to visit.
Walked in on a busy Sunday lunchtime around 2pm but was allowed to have table that was available and order food, was told could be 45 minutes wait. We accepted this as hadn't booked and were pleased to get a table. Whilst there, some people(8) received their food, soon after some were complaining th
Really nice place, authentically historic and ideally located next to the carpark and Orford Ness Ferry. We arrived soaked after walking around Orford in a storm! Friendly but slightly chaotic service, food was good and tasty but kitchen missed most of the vegetables off 2 roast dinners on our tabl
Another recent family meal whilst in Orford. Great outdoor area. Greeted nicely on arrival by staff.
Drinks and food order taken promptly.
Food was brilliant.
