Recently taken over by new management. Nothing wrong with the old management but the new people seem to be putting 100pc effort in. The staff are friendly. They welcome my dog which is really important to me and the beer tastes good. It was busy at the time of my visit which is great for a good atmosphere.
Worth a visit and the food is good to.
Lovely 15th century black and white timber-framed inn oozing with olde-world charm. Large lounge bar with comfortable seating, exposed beams and nooks and crannies.
Loved this. I'm biased as I love these old landmarks steeped in history; cozy, warm and welcoming.
Atmosphere is perfect.
Food was excellent. Beer selection was limited but that was purely because they had been so busy they had run out of a lot. Testament to what a great place it is.
Kelly was great, friendly, helpful and as she is from the area, knows what she is talking about when it comes to the ales and surrounding area.
Heart sank as arranged for 10 friends 4 of which had travelled from Sweden and arrived to a very reduced menu as s new management team had arrived the day before. However despite a bit of a wait for food when it arrived it was very nice. Slightly over priced baguettes but nicely presented and tasty. Steak baguette a bit chewy but the chicken salad was really nice as was the burger, chicken baguette was nice but more lunch than dinner. The bill was not clear due to till issues and we had to trust that the total was correct. Having said this we are looking forward to coming again once new team is a little more settled as service was good and the food full of potential.
A couple of us popped into the King's Arms after a hot 7 mile walk around the area. Whilst there was an extensive selection of lovely looking meals on the menu we were very grateful to the Chef when we went off menu and he provided us with a simple, but delicious grilled chicken salad each; just what the "Doctor ordered" for such a hot sticky day!
Hope to pop back one day and give justice to the meals on offer, especially the puddings
The building is stunning (our Australian cousin and his partner loved it). There was a good selection on the menu. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive - without being over the top. We didn’t feel rushed and we’re able to relax, chat and enjoy the evening
We had a lovely reception. The pub had very nice decor.
The menu was simple pub food and it was tasty and plenty but the vegetarian options contained no protein?!
Good range of options on the menu’s, good tasty food and range of beers. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere in this old village pub, plenty of seating inside and outdoors. Large car park
Very good, nice place. I am impressed with the changed environment, the food, the improved menu. I definitely recommend a visit.
Food was absolutely amazing, great taste.
Beautiful atmosphere.

This lovely pub was recommended by locals we met in the park. Really friendly staff, lovely interiors - toasty warm in the winter and a great menu. Dogs welcome and they even made us some doggy sausages for the little fur ball too. We'll definitely be back.
The food was excellent. The service was first class and the prices were reasonable. We will definitely visit again in the future.
Excellent pub, excellent food just stopped for dinner , great all round many thanks to the staff
