First time at ''Barra Berries' and had the most fantastic afternoon tea with friends. Amazing home cooked savouries and mouth watering cakes and lots of lovely fresh strawberries.... We didn't have room for the cakes so have taken them home for later! Really lovely staff - especially Dougie who looked after us.
Would highly recommend and will be back again!
Went for afternoon tea today which I understand is a new venture for the shop. Served by Dougie and he was brilliant!! So so friendly, informative and an excellent host. Having been at many places in the north east for afternoon tea we can genuinely place it to the top of the ranks with other well known establishments. The fresh strawberries mixed into the afternoon tea are a superb addition. The fine pieces were locally made and decadent, the sandwiches and warm pastries were INCREDIBLE. the array of treats available was a brilliant mix and we loved every minute and every bite. Thanks dougie. And thanks everyone at Barra. 100% be back!! Xxxx

Came to visit the barn today as a possible wedding venue & purchased some strawberries & berries while I was there. Tried them both & there so yummy � Fab place.
The Ice-cream is just fantastic the staff were great yesterday as it was so busy well worth the wait.
Great cafe and shop. The food was terrific and portion sizes were good. I went with children and the staff were very accommodating. The ice was delicious!
We have been regular visitors over the past few years and are delighted to see the growth in the farm shop and the cafe continuing , this last visit was for lunch so instead of the fab ice creams we had salads for the girls and coronation chicken mother clucker with a flat white which was perfect, service was fantastic from the young staff and its very reasonably priced , will be back again
Love their food and lots of vegetarian options too. Good range of choices for farm fresh veggies and fruits especially strawberries 🍓 during the season. Interestingly they also make their own fresh berry based ice creams which is a must have and some of the local lemon 🍋 based juices and cordial to take home. Ample spaces to free car park on-site and pram friendly too.
I love going there for lunch/coffee or just getting berries who are the best ever! Service is always great and the products on offer are of great quality! Make sure you book in advance lunch otherwise you might not get a space as always super busy!

Went for a colleague's leaving do ,for afternoon tea . Absolutely fabulous. The food was lovely and afternoon tea was savoury and sweet . Lovely atmosphere and the staff were exceedingly helpful considering how many were in our party. Would highly recommend and the strawberries are the best in the Shire.
Been meaning to write a review for the longest time but always busy. :-) anyway been to Barra many many times already! Hubby came here and always orders the cinnamon bun, good coffee, ice cream is divine and nice lunch selections too. A good to place for our family.
Visited twice in quick succession with colleagues after the first visit was so enjoyable! Highly recommend both the Halloumi and strawberry Bruschetta and the Chicken Caesar Salad. Others had equally delicious looking plates. Service was prompt and friendly and prices were very reasonable.

Just love going out there, as all fresh home grown fruit. Enjoy a lunch 😋. Ice cream is made there, so it's all nice and fresh. Love it. Staff is very friendly, which is a big bonus nowadays
Second time we were here this week, Lesley-Anne and I were attended by Katharine again who was very efficient and polite as was the other ladies who brought our order. The food and drinks were excellent to say the least and we look forward to our next visit. See you soon.
Back up in the NE for summer and on the one dry day we had yesterday went for a drive and to Barra Castle. We had a lovely natural tasting meal and ended it with the most amazing ice cream made with Mackie's vanilla and honeyberry. It was morish yet completely refreshing from start to finish. On top of that we were served by some of most delightful and friendly staff I've ever encountered in hospitality. A tremendous shout out to the staff as they were the ones who made the experience so special. We'll be back.
Stopped here for breakfast and ice cream, everything was amazing, locally sourced and of course the berries were fantastic! Definitely worth visiting if you are in the area and don't miss the ice cream
Such a warm loving place , staff are very welcoming, food is great.. it’s a place that makes you smile. And I love there ice cream starting going every week.
Popped in for Ice-cream and loved the wee van set up outside - super speedy and friendly service and nice to have not only the amazing berry varieties but alternatives too - the honeycomb was delicious.
Staff are great and very attentive. Food is first class. I recommend the roll with sausage and egg!
Went for afternoon tea which was a treat, great selection of food and a decent veggie option too.
Only negative was having to wait 15 minutes despite booking a table, but staff were friendly and it was worth the wait.
