My son and his wife from Australia came with me on the 350 from Oldham to Ashton. When they saw the pub in upper mill, they said can we go in there, so we did. A very interesting place, built in the 1600s.good beer reasonably priced, fantastic inside.
It's ok during the day for a quiet drink, especially in the summer. Extremely busy evenings and weekends. The beer garden at the front is a good spot for people watching
All sport channels lovely atmosphere
Plain unadulterated traditional pub. Excellent choice of ales. Ideal point for mustering morris dancers on Saddleworth Rushcart Weekend. Visiting every year for many years now. DON'T CHANGE IT.
Great pub, top atmosphere, fantastic DJ on Fridays
A nice atmosphere and plenty of seating to choose from for a few drinks.
Sat outside which can be quite noisy as on main road through Uppermill. Nice friendly staff good wine and lager.
A better introduction to this and any other location should be used, not 'why do you hate this place'. If myself or anyone moves on from this you can very easily forget about the beginning. JUST A SUGGESTION.
Had breakfast so much to eat but very good staff friendly, would visit it again.
