Elderly company I was in became confused at drinks ordered and price charged for. Manager without question refunded amount queried. When clarified no overcharge was made. Manager was courteous and polite making refund a gift
It's a spoons. Adjust your expectations if getting food, but it is still good given the price. A reasonable place for an afternoon drink, even with small children or elderly relatives.
Not been on an evening, but doesn't seem to be a drunken lout pub like some city centre ones. More inviting than some of the other pubs locally in shaw
Nice and friendly place. I had the pleasure of being served by leah, she was polite, chatty, calm and very efficient even when the bar was extremely busy. Other girls on the bar seemed nice as well!
An above average Spoons..the only Real Ale in the town centre..

Totally different to up steps in oldham. Shay wake is the exact opposite to up steps. The food is served quickly and hot. The staff are pleasant and polite they are very helpfull and friendly. And the customers are not screaming and shouting. I highly recommend this pub. It has a big outside area I noticed lots of children in summer with their parents. The tables inside are very quickly cleaned of plates and glasses unlike upsteps you have to empty a table yourself before seating and I used baby wipes to clean it often. I'm so pleased i found shay wake

Came for a late breakfast. On the whole the food was plentiful and good. I would have liked a few mushrooms instead of just one. The vegetarian sausages were really nice. Our son had the American breakfast and there was a lot of it and he ate everything! My only complaint is that, apart from my sausages which were hot, everything else was lukewarm but the plate was cold so that wouldn't have helped. All in all very good and good value for money. Plenty of menu choices and staff are pleasant and friendly. We will visit again sometime for a meal later in the day.

Called in for a lemonade, during the afternoon. It looked alot different than other spoons pubs, like a dining hall...full of people having lunch, every table occupied so the food must be good, good clean pub

Normally the atmosphere in here is a bit dull but with the wonderful service I got from Leah i might come more often.
Spoons is the same everywhere reasonable food and cheap drinks there's not much atmosphere when your having breakfast but at night the place is packed and you bring the atmosphere
