Visited yesterday for Sunday Roast and it was very very good! During the weekdays there is a lot of choice but Sunday is Roast Dinner with a choice of Roast Beef or Chicken which neither of my children will have and the Landlady and Landlord went out of their way and did sausage, chips and beans and pizza for them! The roast dinners were massive! I will have the childs portion next time as there was lots... mash, roasties, cauli, cabbage, broccolli, carrots and yummy gravy. A very good price for four of us, childrens desserts and drinks. It is so nice to have a 'local pub' within walking distance that does good food also with a good menu for week days. Will be back as it saved me cooking!

We came for tea tonight and it was amazing! As a vegan it’s really hard to find places to eat, but here they went above and beyond to make sure I had a lovely meal!

Had the carvery, not been round this area for about 25 years, and it has kept the atmosphere from back then, but also modernised enough. The food was excellent, one of the better carverys I've had, portions were spot on, and the meat and sides were all cooked really well. Service was great too. I would definitely go back and recommend it to others 👍

Went in on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed! A big game was on and the place was rocking! Great atmosphere, with friendly locals and staff. Didn't have any food, but the beer was good, and the room on the right with all the tvs is dog friendly. More seating was available in other rooms if sport is not your bag. . A big car park, and pleasant walks nearby.

Great food + lush puddings. Had to wait a bit for food but it was Father's Day so not a problem + we were advised there would be a wait. Pub obviously very busy as it was a lovely hot day. Big car park ( on a hill) across the road. Had a baby in a pram + went in the back entrance as fewer steps so not wheelchair friendly from what I could see. Definitely worth a visit though. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Great find! Wanted a Sunday lunch, and this most definitely hit the spot. I had roast chicken and lamb. It was very tasty, and no fat on the lamb (hate fat). The rest of the plate was hot and plenty of it. Rounded off with a lovely pudding and custard. Will be going back.
