We so enjoyed our Christmas lunch yesterday! When we arrived our table was beautifully laid with streamers, crackers, party poppers and a Santa hat, we were greeted with ‘Merry Christmas’ from all of the staff that we came into contact with which made it really special. The food was lovely, lots of it and really good quality food. Our waitress, Jess, was wonderful! She was friendly, polite and was great with our boys, playing with them and just generally really good fun.

Visited on the evening of Friday 20th April with a group of friends. Had a warm welcome, excellent table service and fab food. The whole evening was lovely and so I couldn't wait to take my family. So last night on Thursday 26th April we arrived to another warm welcome and were seated at our table. My husband admired the new decor and commented on how different it looked to before when it was known as Lakeside. My 3 sons picked what they wanted to eat and were pleasantly surprised when our waiter Hayden bought them plates of veggies and a dip to try. We ordered our food and waited. Our drinks arrived and then our food. Unfortunately, my husband's meal was not to his satisfaction - he ordered the cauliflower tart with mash, seasonal veg and gravy. The mash potato was very rubbery like it had been microwaved and the cauliflower tart was burnt on top with rubbery pastry and filling. Our waiter Hayden could not apologise enough and said he would speak to chef and take the price of the meal off our final bill. It was a shame as the rest of our meals were very nice but a shame that my husband missed out.
The pub is so nice , lovely food and the staff are so obliging and helpful. Fully recommend this to anyone suitable for all . Will be going again
Went for a meal and felt obliged to give a review (although no one asked me to). The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Well done everyone you've changed my opinion of this pub �
5 of us Had a meal here 4th feb very nice in side friendly and helpful staff food was great the toed in the hole needed more gravy but apart from that it was great I like the lay out nice private areas
Had a great time celebrating a friends birthday, staff were welcoming and very friendly. Our waiter Jordan coukdnt do enough and treated us all like we were old friends. Will definatly be going back.
Fooood was amazing. Did not leave a mouthful on the plate. Smothered chicken was the best.

Had a birthday party meal here for 14 adults. Food was very good though only one choice of carvery meat available. Service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. We all had a great time and reasonably priced.
Lovely family meal for my daughters 18th. Had a great time, fantastic value and our server Megan was 1st class. Happy, bubbly and made sure we were all happy with everything and got what we needed. Thank you Megan 😊
Charlotte was our waitress on the day, she was very polite and courteous throughout. 3 members of staff asked us if everything was to our satisfaction. Have been going for Sunday lunch here for over 2 years and never had a bad experience.
Went here to celebrate my mom's birthday. Party of X4 children & X4 adults. Harrison, our waiter was very attentive, friendly & paid attention to the specific details we requested with each meal. Each meal was served correctly, everyone reported their food was delicious & a lovely atmosphere in there this evening!
We had a nice meal here today on their two meals for £9.99. Can't really go wrong for that price. We had sausage and mash and the apple betty, plus 3 alcoholic drinks with mixers for £28.
The member of staff who greeted us at the door and showed us to our seat was a very welcoming chap. Michelle served us and was pleasant, helpful and attentive which added to our visit. Thank you Michelle.

Lovely atmosphere, great food and friendly staff. Kath was amazing, so helpful, extremely friendly and made our night perfect for our last date night before our wedding on Saturday.

Had the best day celebrating our Wedding at the Lakeside cookhouse pub. Food was amazing, all the my guessed were overwhelmed by not only the amount of hot buffet that was served but the quality, taste and service was fabulous!!

We waited so long for a server to come clear the dinner plates and take our order for dessert we gave up and just paid and let. They wasn't even busy 😔. The food was lovely though.
