Anchor Inn - Oldbury-on-Severn - Photo album

Lovely off the track, Oldbury on Severn. Great area for walking your dog and the Anchor is always friendly with a good range of breasts and food. Plenty of space in or out. We had a light lunch outside in a downpour. Remained perfectly dry under table umbrella whilst our lab loved watching the rain
Food was lovely but I have to say the staff need to know their craft! When I asked the waiting staff what the seasonal veg were I was reluctantly told " oh, peas, broccoli, cauliflower oh and carrot I think" .. she wasn't sure and didn't go and check but stood talking to the otherstsff who were loo
Great village pub, perfect location, great service, fantastic food we will definitely come again can get really busy in summer months.
Good food and portions, bright attentive and cheerful service
We had lunch here before booking in to Thornbury Castle for the night. Best venison burger I have had and definitely in my top 5 burgers - served with camembert and redcurrent jelly, really delicious and perfectly cooked. Lovely garden, friendly staff. Would recommend
Great staff and good food we didn't stay there but had a very good Sunday lunch in the very pleasant garden
Staff friendly Pub clean Nice cliental Food is great value for money
Only went to The Anchor Inn for lunch. A lovely experience with a wonderful, roaring fireplace.
I absolutely adore this place! The garden is the best part if the weather cooperates! The food is fantastic! Highly recommend the garlic bread! Excellent service. Gorgeous setting! Worth the drive for sure
Enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch here recently. I can definitely recommend the place.
Used the pub as a stop over on the drive to Cornwall. Fabulous room, Dancer suite, with lovely views and bird song in the morning. We ate in the pub which was cosy and popular with locals for an early evening get together. Food was tasty and well cooked. Staff were friendly and polite. Highly recomm
We booked for a 90th birthday lunch for 20 in March (and returned in Sept). Excellent from start to finish. Food was delicious and came out all in one go, piping hot. Great variety of meat and fish dishes. However could do with more vegetarian options. Waiting staff were superb. Helpful and attentiv
Absolutely brilliant Inn. Superb food and very friendly and helpful staff
I really don't know why we've not visited so much we live close enough amazing Sunday lunch (evening sitting) by log fire Fantastic value for money beef was excellent kids obviously had burgers which were juicy and flavoursome. Staff brilliant too. Will make it a regular trip .
This is a pub with two distinct, and different, areas. The bar area is as you would expect with an old pub - a bit quirky with a nice atmosphere (though it’s slightly frayed around the edges and perhaps could do with a slight makeover). The dining room, however is modern and very bland. I had lunch
Great country pub. Good menu at reasonable prices. Open fire in the winter and a beautiful garden in the summer. Plenty of car parking. I would definitely recommend.
