This is a two in one review. First is the Italian Night on Friday 27th October 2023. Absolutely amazing. The food was very delicious. The service was excellent. The staff are amazing. We are looking forward to the Mexican Night that has been promised for the future. Second is the Dining in the D
A nice little pub off the beaten track. Nice food and friendly staff. Couldn't see if wheelchair accessible but family and dog friendly. Prices were what you would expect for a country pub, we paid just under £80 for two (two course meal bottle of wine and other drinks). Parking outside.
I went recently with a large group for lunch. The food was excellent and hot. The staff that looked after us, were wonderful. I appreciated the help given me by the gentleman staff. Nothing was too much trouble from the moment we went in and the Proprietors can be very proud of both of the sta
Yum! Have been here a few times with friends and my parents, both in the ‘outdoors only’ lockdown and normality. Great pub in a sweet village setting, the heart of the parish as it should be. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Good food and drinks, nestled next to the church.
Had a lovely time here celebrating a birthday, staff was lovely and super accommodating. In hindsight should of got the roast as my seabass was on the small side but delicious nonetheless. Love that they have neck oil on draft & allow dogs!
Once again the staff at the White Horse in Old were superb. On our initial visit they had made us so very welcome and now with my sister, brother-in-law and their little dog we were warmly welcomed again. The food was delicious, fish & chips, ham and eggs, tuna steak, and Chefs special pie went do
We were visiting my daughter in Kingsthorpe and was looking for a freehold pub for food instead of the usual chains. Found this last minute and thought we would give it a try. Lovely first impression, decor is clean, and pleasant. Atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. Was a bit worried it was going t
The staff helped arrange a surprise birthday dinner. Great venue, brilliant and friendly service plus really tasty food! Thank you
Had Sunday lunch there for the first time under new ownership. Food and beer excellent as was the friendly and attentive service.
Great pub with friendly helpful staff. We had lunch and the food was excellent: simple but well executed. We would happily return again. Please note that the pub has been under new management for the last year or so following a period of closure.
Excellent food at reasonable prices. Service is great and very friendly. Lovely decor and interior. Every reason to return.
Lovely pub, great food, staff were excellent, great pint as well definitely be going back again
The young people that run this pub.. are lovely. Wish them well. The 3 ladies from Bishop retired👍😄Food excelent.
Last minute find but glad we did. Food was lovely (especially the chips) worth every penny. Will definitely return. Lovely garden area too.
Absolutely fantastic country pub, great hospitality, great food and drink.. can’t think of anything else that would improve it. The new owners have definitely hit the right note and I for one will be visiting again… very soon 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Good food, friendly service, good selection of beers at reasonable price. Had a good evening
Took my mum for lunch yesterday and the food was amazing. They cater well for allergies and have good options for gluten free - even a choice of GF puddings! Service was great and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend
Yet again a superb lunch! This time a steak sandwich and I like my steak BLEUE as they do in France - and this was very bleue and better that in France! Excellent ales and service, thank all staf and kitchen in particular! See you soon! John W
