The Mariner Inn - Old Hunstanton - Photo album

Dropped in on the off chance for a meal at 6pm on Friday, staff found us a table with a lively sea view, at our request. Took our orders and two lovely meals arrived very quickly. Really can't fault the staff, food and prices. Spot on. We will be back!
An absolutely fantastic place right next to the beach. I ordered the chilli con carne, and my friend ordered the chicken salad with prawn crackers (both pictured). The food came quickly, and it was delicious. The only thing to note is that the prices can fetch between £10 and £20 per meal, and you h
Lovely location with great views over the beach and friendly staff. The food was very nice and we enjoyed our family meal out. 😊 Their car parking charge is high but you can pay on card and claim it back off your bill (or park somewhere else). I can see why they need to do that on busy weekends thou
Basic pub fare if I'm being honest but good value and a lovely view from the main restaurant area. For a shortish menu there are a surprising number of vegetarian and vegan options for which the Mariner is to be commended.
Young girl Jamie who served us was very knowledgable and she knew her job very polite and what ever we wanted it was no hassle for her the food was good and enjoyed it new potatoes in my opinion where a bit bland needed seasoning the steak in my opinion should of been trimmed off the fat/gristle bef
Just popped in for a drink, but the food looked lovely.
One of our favourite places to stop and have a drink after a walk along the sea front. Historical with great views from the garden of the sea and very accessible to walk down to the beautiful beach and sand dunes. Been here since a child and one of my favourite places to be
Sunday roast delicious 😋. Deserts yummy had a hard choice to make😋. Good service with a lovely view to the beach.
Amazing food, great atmosphere, most of the staff went above and beyond. Best of all, if you sit near the back windows or upstairs you can see the sea
Low score for food only because there is no vegan or vegetarian option for breakfast which is quite shocking these days, I did notice a few options on the main menu however. Otherwise it's a beautiful location and staff are great.
Nice friendly pub with good views. (I imagine they would be even better in summer on the decking!) Food was okay, somewhat pricey for what it was, but still tasty. Standard choices of drink. Covid standards were good, food was left on the table for us to take ourselves, same goes for the drinks.
Went for a lunch after a walk on the beach. The staff were very helpful and welcoming to both us and our dog who was with us. The food was very good and I can recommend the Steak and Ale pie 🥧. The open fire was lovely and very relaxing. We will return.
We had a reasonable meal at the Ancient Mariner, but a few things stop it getting 5 stars... there was a queue at the bar with only 1 person serving despite lots of other staff mulling about... seemed a bit lapse in cleaning up tables, whilst in queue I heard at least 2 people ask for some wipes to
