We stayed in the snug which was lovely and big! Great bath and shower, great choice of hot drinks and treats were left for the dog 🐶.
Loved the little courtyard however the one thing stopping me giving 5* is the lack of a gate from the road to the courtyard. I think if one was installed you would have 3 rooms booked for 2 weekends of the year every year, as my whole party would be back.
I found the breakfast very good value however I personally thought the dinner was a little bit pricey.
It's one of the most dog friendly places I have been to and just a few minutes walk to old Hunstanton beach which is again sooo dog friendly.
Overall you've done a fantastic job and would recommend to anyone. (Please get a gate installed 😊)
We went on Friday as a non resident. Everything was great the Hotel , the staff and the breakfast was really good. Will definitely return and would love to stay . Would also recommend to others.

We were staying locally and were contemplating where to go for a meal and some drinks. We thought we’d give The Lodge a try as we’d eaten at another local pub the last time we were in Old Hunstanton (which wasn’t great!) but had only been in to The Lodge once for a drink a few years ago. Very pleased we did!
We had our dog with us so we sat in the bar. It’s got a lovely feel to it, and modern decor. We had a peer into the restaurant area and that looked lovely.
The service throughout the evening was excellent. Really friendly and attentive staff (and lovely to our dog, bringing him out some treats!), and everything was done quickly and efficiently.
There are times when you can go out for a meal and the food is nice but just ok. The food here was much more than ok, it was absolutely lovely! Starters were a delicious smoked salmon roulade, and mussels with THE most tasty sauce. Mains were a steak and a vegetarian lasagne, both of which were delicious.
We were so pleased we went here. We didn’t really know what to expect, but were blown away by the amazing meal we had, and excellent service, and would without a doubt go back again the next time we are in Old Hunstanton.

Booked up for a meal and Not disappointed at all with very good service from turning up to leaving. The food was excellent not cheap but you got what you payed for. Would definitely recommend.

Love this place ideal situation in old hunstanton own car park, easy wak to the beach and handy for coastal hopper bus link. The Golden Lion in Hunstanton on par great assets to the area.

A very pleasant hotel/restaurant in Hunstanton Old Town. Pleasant, friendly and efficient staff and a good menu of well cooked and presented food at a little above average prices but fair priced for the quality of the food.
Dropped in here for Sunday lunch because our regular place was fully booked.
I cannot recommend this place enough, from the warm welcome, spacious table for two and superb food, nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
The food was the crowning glory, when most places farm out frozen rubbish everything here was home done, from the roast potatoes, red cabbage, parsnip, etc. The gravy didn't disappoint either because it was home made and not the usual granules & hot water most places try and get away with. 10/10 from walking in to walking out thanks.
Excellent food generous portions I had the chicken tika curry and with a choice of mild medium and hot I opted for medium which was just right with sufficient kick there were huge chicken pieces the rice was perfectly cooked and the nann was fantastic soft and pillowie the service was excellent and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly
