Wow! Visited on Saturday & can’t believe a place like this exists in Basingstoke. We ordered a toastie and the brisket and it was some of the best food we’ve had. The coffee was 10/10 and have alternative milks. Will definitely be coming back to try all the cakes / pastries! Free parking, places to leave your bike, and dog friendly!

Stunning local bakery, always bustling which demonstrates its quality! From massive sourdough doughnut releases on Thursdays to their lunchtime brisket sandwiches, the Street is a fabulous addition to the Basingstoke food scene.

Had heard about the street and it’s only a mile away from where I live, There’s not many bakeries around in basingstoke but I can clarify that this more than makes up for it. The doughnuts was sold out unfortunately but they only do small batches, i’m sure the demand for multiple trays of doughnuts would be there. Had a Ham and Cheese toastie on sourdough with the relish which was out of this world, so big it could easily be shared between two people and the Masterpiece which was Beef Brisket bun with all the trimmings, really tender and lovely. Will be coming back! friendly staff as well.

My only criticisms would be that the price was a bit high but you get what you pay for!! Had the pork roll and it was really very good and I would go back so it couldn't have been that high?? Also they are a little bit a victim of their own success as was mobbed when we went so had to wait a bit for the food and a place to sit, but this improved the atmosphere so worth a little waiting. Overall awesome I'd say just don't be in a hurry if you want to eat in during busy times.

Where to begin! We could rave about this bakeshop all day - from the giant, pillowy cinnamon buns to the yummy savoury vegetable rolls. Having sampled most of the treats on offer we can safely say that everything baked at The Street Bakeshop is delicious, and they never miss. Relaxed and fun atmosphere, wonderful staff, and a very instagrammable counter. Best enjoyed as part of a leafy Hampshire bike ride - the fresh air makes everything taste even better!

What a place! Don't be put off by the slightly chaotic street parking and queue out the door, you will be rewarded for some short patience. Like everyone else says make sure you sample the brisket, it's just amazing. The selection of breads and pastries is impressive and takes some self control to not buy one of everything. The coffee is excellent and the service is quick, polite and friendly. The interior is simple and comfortable with ample seating indoor and out.

I am a huge fan of The Street Bakeshop and have bought plenty of cakes and savoury baked goods from there. All their cakes and pastries are delicious and unique compared to supermarket fare. Recently I tried their lunch and it was one of the best toasties I've ever had. I tried the goat's cheese, pesto and roast veggies. Apart from the sandwich which was made to perfection (filled me up until dinner as well), the house pickled veggies were the best side to it. Do try it if you can, you will love it.

I love this cafe. The coffee is exceptional and the range and quality of cakes on offer is to die for. I’ve never had an iced cinnamon bun like it (would easily do two people) and the white chocolate, mango and raspberry cake I had on a different occasion there was glorious. Also recommend the bacon/sausage baps. All in all, well worth a visit!
