Visited today for our wedding anniversary lunch ! Pleasant atmosphere, the veggie/vegan roast was really good!. Gravy that came with the meal was lovely and veg was cooked well too! Wish we could have stayed longer! Dog friendly, so will definitely visit again on a weekday to try their usual menu which looks excellent!

Stayed for one night at the Inn and found it to be absolutely spot on. Ian, Linda and the waiting staff were lovely, friendly, smiley & helpful - perfect hosts. The chef is obviously highly trained as the food was excellent. Cannot fault any part of our stay. Will definitely return. Thank you so much

Enchanting thatched inn on Dartmoor. Very friendly staff. Lovely rooms, spotless ly clean. Tasty meals. We had a wonderful stay here. Loved the character of this old inn. The owners have done it proud. Can't wait to have another stay here.

Dropped in for lunch on way back home and what a lovely suprise ! The place was steeped in history but beautifully kept. Clean, great facilities eg toilets lovely and fresh, easy parking right outside. We sat on the back patio area near the flowing stream. Service was great and food freshly cooked and to a very good standard. Would definitely recommend

Absolutely amazing food, and a great choice on the menu. I had the scallops which were delicious and the venison saddle which was one of the best dishes I've had. Great service.

Just been in with my wife for the Pub Classic Afternoon Tea with Cider and Real Ale Connoisseurs Taster Board. Fantastic local ciders and ales. Beautifully presented afternoon tea on slates, under a wooden frame, which we both didn't want to disturb, looking so exquisite. The breads, cold meats, charcuterie, pickled onions, Cornish pasty, cornichons and a selection of local cheese and chutneys were outstanding. Such high end ingredients. Then the scones, clotted cream and jam, which were gorgeous. The sweets were so ornate and just full of flavour, perfectly made and so tasty. Washed down with pots of tea, in lovely crockery. We were both happily full and contented. Having been to this fine Inn on previous occasions, as always, met by the usual upbeat and friendly welcome and all the staff were superb, attentive and a pleasure to deal with. Looking forward to trying this brilliant twist of an afternoon tea in due course. Thank you all for having us again.

Lovely rural location and the service was good. I had the hake which lay on a minimal layer of vegetables, with truffle chips followed by the panna cotta. Both meals were very tasty, especially the sweet. I felt £20 for the small main course to be expensive. I definitely didn't feel I wanted to pay more, but I had gone as part of a group so the usual discretionary 10% surcharge was then compulsory.

The food was fantastic at Bearslake Inn however we booked for 8pm for a 30th wedding anniversary meal so was hoping it was going to be really special but as soon as we got there we where told they would quickly take our food order with the drinks order as the chef's wanted to get off, so we felt very rushed and didn't like to linger after we finished our meal. If 8pm is too late they should really remove that time from the online booking form but all in all we had a nice night

Lovely pub on the edge of Dartmoor. Doesn't look much from the front but has a beautiful garden with a river running through it at the back. Food is not all day, but was amazing quality. Highly recommended 👌

Held a family party here on Saturday 15th for 11 people. Food was organized in advance and served in very good timing. All very delicious! Staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was just perfect, cosy and intimate.

This is definitely the best roast dinner we've ever had and we've had a few. In alot of different pub's and restaurants Lisa and the staff gave us a very warm welcome and our dog. The food was amazing cooked to perfection and you didn't need a second mortgage to eat here. Highly recommend this pub .
