This woman creates the most delicious combination of flavours. It's an outstanding cafe, friendly and fun. Theres plenty of savoury to satisfy, and ohhh my the cakes and tarts are mouthwatering.
I would recommend a visit, even if it requires a diversion to do it. 😍😍😍
Excellent food, excellent coffee and a huge selection of tea, and beautiful cakes. It's 100% vegan, but you'd never know unless you asked. Maybe the friendliest place in Okehampton too. I'll see you there!
It's great to find a place that is vegan, wheat free and dairy free. A great little menu in quirky surroundings. Well worth a visit though. All food is cooked while you wait, so be patient.. you're patience will be rewarded with food cooked with love.
Tasty selection of home cooked lunches and cakes. Good selection of teas and coffee. Very friendly relaxed atmosphere and best of all, totally vegan.
Loved the porridge, set me up for a long day of cycling, all the cakes and things looked fantastic and I was sorry I didn't get to try them. I was impressed that her oat milk was home made as well

Visited 5 weeks into their food adventure. Nicely decorated, comfy seats and very friendly staff. All the food was great although I thought the Caribbean Curry wrap was rather over selling itself with a thin slice of pineapple and red pepper. I'm not vegan but I'd have no issue with going back for more. Lots of happy customers in there.
Superb café; delicious food and drink, and wonderful proprietors. I couldn't recommend this place more highly. If you're looking for great food (regardless of being vegan) there are options here for everyone. They've always got plenty on offer, the prices are very reasonable and it's a nice place to pass the afternoon! Definitely the best place for lunch in Okehampton.
Be warned – make sure you turn up early, book, or prepare to be disappointed, they don't have many seats!
A must try restaurant
This little restaurant delivers on so many levels. The owner is super friendly, and the meal my husband and I shared was generous and absolutely delicious. We are not vegan but love trying new things and this restaurant is one we would definitely go back to. Great food is great food regardless of what label you put on it - at this place, we ate great food! Thank you!

Excellent range of loose leaf teas and beautifully presented platters followed by home made cake. Not expensive and great service. A treat but at everyday prices. Great find.I will definitely be back.

Had the best vegan chai mocha of my life here! Owned by the lovely Rebecca, it is an absolute pleasure to drop by here to have a nice chat, tea and cakes. Make sure to sit on the hilarious chatter natter table if ur up for it! Also the whipped cream here is the best vegan whipped cream ever. Make sure to ask Rebecca for a few recommendations around the southwest and ull not be disappointed!

I visited Okehampton today and came across this little gem by sheer chance; and I'm so glad I did!
When I first walked in, I was greeted by a very freindly shop assistant (who turned out to be the owner). I thought, "This is nice". A good range of cute, different and very fairly priced gifts and goodies. I bought some vanilla incense sticks, a cat-face pencil case and a hand made cushion. All for £20.
What isn't obvious, or even evident, is that all the products in the shop are either locally sourced, or ethically sourced if not local. The shop owner searches for people who are at a disadvantage, around the world, who make the type of product she wants to sell, and buys from them. Some of the gifts were made by a family in Japan who were displaced.
I took an immediate liking to this shop and I recommend you visit if you're in the area. Did I mention that the cushion I bought was hand made by local Okehampton residents living in sheltered housing due to the lack of work in Okehampton? The cushion is adorable, something of a style of its own; enough to compete with any of the big high Street brands!
The shop owner is heavily involved in supporting the local community and is already coordinating events to help include the children from impoverished families in the local communities. She'll certainly help raise awareness in the community.
Final thoughts: visit and buy some goodies. If you're only passing through Okehampton, or are just visiting the supermarkets, utilise your parking to the max; walk the 1 minute walk to this little gem!
One of the best meals I've had out in ages. Generous portions, fresh ingredients, tasty and healthy combinations, very well priced, and they donate to charity. Heavily recommended.
I've recently discovered this little gem hidden away in broad daylight! The ethos of providing responsibly sourced vegan food is nourishing to the soul as to the flesh. Rebecca's warmth and genuinely caring personality enfolds you the moment you step in the door. I've had, variously, the four bean soup, a hearty butternut squash you could stand a fork in, a mango based winter warmer, delicious coffee and last time the sourdough crumpets. On that occasion, I had forgotten my purse and embarrassedly had to say so on approaching the counter to pay, but Rebecca did not bat an eyelid, interrupting my apologies to say "It's ok ,pay me next time" . I don't think it's possible to describe the sense of nurture I get each time I go. My only selfish complaint is that it's closed Wednesday's - the day I care for my grandson, but i know Rebecca is always working on new recipes to delight. Genuinely authentic food when that word is so misappropriated nowadays. Thank you Rebecca.
Stars given for the friendly staff and delicious food. Heads up its very small so not super access and no loo. Didn't mind a little bit of a wait for food as it was freshly made right there and so delicious.
Great little family cafe with great selection of vegan options. Made me the perfect coffee just as I asked for. Perfect cafe, can't wait to go back.
