“Diamond of a pub!!” We came across The Watermill pub on Christmas Day... plans to stay somewhere else in our hired motorhome went awry & so we back headed to this lovely looking pub we passed on the way to the beach. Couldn't have asked for a better find. Tony & his staff were all welcoming & accommodating. Tony let us park the motorhome in his car park (we were tucked away in the huge space) & would not take any payment when we asked if there was any chance we could stay there the night so we could have a few Christmas drinks in his lovely pub. The pump wasn't working in the home, Tony let us have whatever water we wanted. I needed a lemon, he gave me 2. He told us to sit by the fire & warm up & relax, we did. The place was decorated beautifully, all the staff were in a good mood & enjoying themselves trying to make sure everyone had a great Christmas day. Nothing was too much for them & they worked their bottoms off! We instantly fell in love with the place & Tony was just incredible in making us feel at home. The surrounding scenery is stunning & after a much needed windy walk along the coast the next day, we headed into the pub, asked to stay another night (Tony said he assumed we would!) & ordered some food... the kale risotto with jerk chicken was delicious & the fish & chips were perfection (& that's coming the fish & chip connoisseur!). And as for the Sienna nuts... we had a few pots of those with our yummy beer & cider!! We shall be going back without a shadow of a doubt. Tony is one of the kindest & most genuine people we have ever come across & he should be proud of The Watermill & his staff there. It's our new favourite place. Thank you for making our Christmas! This is more or less our local. A pub restaurant. Yesterday we went down to watch Wales v Scotland 6 Nations rugby match. We had a meal in the lounge area. Not a massive crowd to watch the match but a good atmosphere nonetheless. Good food, good friendly service by the staff and of course a Welsh win to top it off.

Had a lovely time at The Watermill. We booked a large table for father's day Sunday dinner and were very pleased with the service. The food was great and I was particularly impressed by the dessert menu. The brownie with salted caramel ice cream was delicious! The waiter Dion was really helpful and polite. Would recommend!

I come here as much as I can with my best friend. It's perfect in the summer for a nice pint in the garden, and we have always been greeted with fantastic service. The quality of the food is wonderful - we could easily let the hours pass as the atmosphere is lovely and welcoming!

A very busy but really friendly pub with great food. We had a delicious lunch after a walk on the beach and our three hairy friends loved the dogs welcome dining area, especially the "dog bar". Thank you for the hospitality. We'll be back.

Had a lovely day walking around Ogmore last week and happened upon this pub. So glad!! Had the most amazing sunday roast... the gravy was surperb! Very nice atmosphere and staff so friendly despite being rushed off their feet which did not affect the service at all! Can’t wait to return . Thank you

Seen this passing by on the bus, now decided to visit it for lunch, what a good decision it was. Nicely decorated inside, love the music played, hunter's chicken tender cooked, chips done right watered down with some beer and digestive. Here what's on offer, I am ordering dessert now:

Stopped here on the way to ogmore beach, had the homemade beef madras recommended by the waitress and it was delicious, great presentation and a beautiful view out of the window. Well priced food and drink with local produce, friendly and inviting staff, definitely worth a stop. Plenty of outdoor seating with lovely surroundings and a park for young children.

Sorry for the photo but I was halfway through an amazing Sirloin Steak and chips before I took it. Excellent service and pub in a great location. Grilled tomato and onion rings were a bit short on size and numbers. Maybe because it was late in the day. No biggie though. I'd definitely recommend the Watermill and we'll be revisiting again soon.

Only moved to wales in January and have tried several restaurants, but the watermill never misses! It's a family favourite, and the cowboy burger is always top choice. Plus, it's down the road from ogmore Beach and the Castle. It's a frequent day out for us now, "let's go down to ogmore by sea and stop off at the watermill," Staff are always friendly, and the building itself is lovely. Haven't got many photos unfortunately but we'll going up again tomorrow so will be sure to take some. Brilliant place, brilliant location, brilliant service, and cracking food.

I travelled with my 2 boys for an overnight stop. Staff were more than welcoming, polite, friendly and accommodating. We stayed in our van free of charge in the carpark which had views over the estuary. Dinner was amazing, the kind of food that fills you up and is cooked well. There was no pressure to leave quickly and we spent a good two hours there. Would highly recommend. Thank you - we will return The Rolinson Family.

Excellent service lovely food! It was our first visit with our puppy and the dog friendly lounge was great with water and treats available. We have a daughter with special needs and the staff were amazing even making sure she had the chocolate cake she had been looking forward to! We will definitely be returning! Thanks you from Sarah Stevens and family 🐶

We sat in the beer garden to make the most of the sun. They have a little play area for children where you can keep an eye on them. Food is gorgeous, staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Prices for drinks are a bit steep but you do expect this from the area and quality of service.

Nice bank holiday family meal. Good range, with a particular focus on burgers and curries. Could do with a drinks menu so that customers could peruse the wares alongside the food menu. Nice location on the Ogmore vale River valley with countryside views. Also has outside tables where you can dine alfresco if it's warm enough
