I recommend this place to locals and visitors the food is lovely and the staff are friendly. The place itself has a lovely country feel. You can't fail to fall in love with the place.
Gorgeous pub with welcoming helpful staff. We stayed the night and the staff were so accommodating. Would highly recommend. They even gave us bread to feed the fish across the road - which we all loved. Awesome stay!

Just spent another lovely weekend at The Inn On The Green. Lauren, Julie and their staff were so friendly and hospitable nothing was to much trouble. Amazing food, comfortable king size bed, clean rooms and 1st class breakfast. We will be back soon.
The staff and owners are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. The bar has a lovely atmosphere and the food is very good. The rooms are very clean and tidy. All in all a very nice place to stay.
went here with my mum, son and 2 dogs today - food was excellent, lovely friendly staff, reasonable prices plus it's dog and kid - friendly! Will deffo be back again soon =)
Came in for Sunday Lunch with the family and the food was absolutely spot on!! Really impressed and will definitely be back!!
A really nice friendly village pub!
We found it online and due to the reviews decided to do a 50 mile round trip.
We’d heard they did amazing deserts and as it was our daughters 6th birthday we thought we’d fit in a treat for her and have a cheeky beer too.
A warm friendly greeting is an understatement.
From the head Barman to the manager they were very welcoming and polite.
We all enjoyed our puddings immensely and I probably had one of the best banoffee pie deserts I’ve ever had too!
As we left they remembered my daughters name from when we arrived and that it was her birthday. By this time the pub was busier with the locals too.
As we were leaving we thanked them and without hesitation they both shouted happy Birthday to my daughter and then sang it too at which point all the locals joined in too which gave her a massive birthday smile which was great to see!
Overall we were really impressed and were glad we’d made the right decision to try somewhere new. Massive thumbs up to all concerned - thank you ! :)
We stayed night before our friends wedding and the owners were very helpful even ironing my shirt in the morning and were kind enough to run us to our destination. Very peaceful place to stay and nice pub as well.
A superb venue to eat, drink and stay. The management we so friendly. We loved it, and what a breakfast, home made sausages to die for. We will be back!
Lovely traditional family pub and b&b! Friendly helpful staff and fabulous food...well worth a visit or six!
Visiting the area to attend a family wedding and found this delightful inn and hotel online. Good reviews so booked in and looked forward to our stay.
It's a lovely old world coaching inn overlooking a beautiful, traditional village green (pasture, village pump, football pitch, cricket club and green, little church school, church and pond).
Our room was comfortable, with a king size bed and a great view over the garden. Very peaceful and we slept really well.
Food is traditional pub fayre. Freshly cooked, good portions and very tasty. Great choice of puddings too.
Really nice, full English breakfast, again freshly cooked.
Most of all, the staff were all brilliant. So accommodating and friendly, making it feel very homely.
If we travel to Surrey again, we will definitely stay here.
PS. The wedding was lovely too!!
We loved the Inn on the Green. My wife and I stayed there for the night in October and it is ideally located for local attractions including the Surrey Hills, Leith Hill Tower and the Hannah Peschar Sculpture Garden.
The staff were friendly, welcoming and really went out of their way to ensure that our stay was comfortable.
We had an excellent, reasonably-priced dinner (Steak, wine and surprisingly good coffee) and we also had breakfast in the morning. The menu is good - lots of choice, large portions and very tasty.
The rooms are nice too - functional and very clean. We had a double with ensuite and were very comfortable - ours was away from the roadside though so definitely ask for room 1 if you are intolerant of light traffic noise.
All-in-all a really enjoyable trip and would recommend.
Had a couple of evening meals here whilst visiting the area. Very friendly staff and the food was lovely. Right on the main road with a large car park very close by. Lots of places to walk your dog too. Oh yes, and the pub is dog friendly. 🥳
Typical countryside pub. After parking up for the night in a lay-by in the truck I walked a mile down to road to get something to eat.
I had the Sunday roast. Although the yorkshire pudding was pretty burnt the rest of the food was extremely nice. Food was also enjoyed with a nice cold pint of Birra Moretti.
My son and his Fiancée had recommended The Inn on the Green, when last over from Australia, so took their advice. Boy, I'm glad I did. The food and hospitality was exceptional. Well done Lauren, Julie and team. I will definitely recommend to my friends, when visiting the Motherland, from Australia
Stopped by on our way home to Scotland, lovely country pub, friendly staff. Had their Thai vegan burgers and chips so delicious 😋 highly recommended.
The staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. The food was lovely and it was a pleasure to receive excellent takeaway boxes for the excess. We had a lovely time with them.
We have had lunch here twice recently and each time the food was just lovely.
I popped in today with my dog to use their toilets, and grab some water, and was met by a lovely member of staff behind the bar with plum hair, who offered to hold my dog for me. We will definitely be back for food and drinks thanks to her kindness and how dog friendly the pub is!
We were staying in a nearby Airbnb so this was a real treat. Near Dorking, eep deep in beautiful Surrey, this is a quintessential English village complete with village green and cricket pitch. Th epub is just fabulous - quirky and cosy and complete with 'locals' who were super friendly and made us feel right at home. Traditional but not boring, we will definitely be coming back here again.
