Our stay recently at the hotel was a great experience. The room was super, the staff welcoming and always courteous. The manager, Simon was eager to help when we had a problem which was no fault of the hotel. A special mention of the young receptionist, what a charming ,polite young lady! We will definitely be back.

Room size varies. Clean but definitely nostalgic. Elevator is spotty in getting doors open. Friends got stuck inside.. Was funny to me not so much to them. Breakfast was pretty good. Love location for ferry and shopping. Sunsets are gorgeous from water facing rooms.

My husband and I booked an “Advanced Purchase, Dinner, Bed and Breakfast” deal with the “Oban Caledonian Hotel” in Oban.
We were very disappointed that we had to cancel our night with the hotel, through no fault of our own but due to a very bad road accident on the way to the hotel, that held many other motorists up as well as us.
As soon as we were aware that we would be delayed for several hours (3 hours in actually) and that it would have been foolish/dangerous to travel the distance to the hotel after this incident, we sent an email to inform The Oban Caledonian hotel of this fact.
Whilst we were aware of the terms we booked the room under (non-flexible and not amendable if we were to cancel or amend dates) we hoped we might be granted a partial refund as this occurrence was no fault of our own.
We were delighted when Jodi replied that under these circumstances, she would be more than happy to offer us a full refund and that she hoped to welcome us to the Oban Caledonian in the near future.
We certainly will book this hotel again, when next we are over this way and would recommend this hotel to all.

Absolutely loved our stay here. Although the room needed some tlc, everything else felt like we were in a 5 star hotel. The service was fab, the food was good and every member of the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Great location too, right in the centre of oban.

The food was very well presented, and the taste was exceptional. I had the eggs benedict. The staff are friendly. The only let down is the slightly dated decor.
It's clean, warm and a good price. Couldn't ask for more but the hotel is a bit dated, would of happily paid more for an extra star

The people are great, the place is awesome and the fishing is not bad, somewhere you can just relax.
