Food was amazing and service was delightful. Lauren the head server at such a young age was amazing with her knowledge of the restaurants food and beverage. Would highly recommend going there if you have the opportunity.

Visited the restaurant for my birthday meal whilst in Oban and couldn't fault it! Both our meals were exceptional and great value for money! As it was my birthday my partner had organised for a cake to be brought out and all the staff were extremely accommodating and sang happy birthday which was a lovely touch! Would highly recommend

What a lovely evening for my birthday. Beautiful food and quick efficient service. Definitely book if you are looking to go was nearly full when we left at 19:50. Kids were welcome and they did a small portion of items on the menu which my daughter loved. Only downside was, as we were eating early 18:15 the restaurant was quite cold but as it got busier it did get warmer. Will certainly visit again if I am in the area

We booked a table and glad we did as it was quite busy. we got a really good position - a table by the window overlooking the harbour. it had been raining all day but the sun had just come out and there was a beautiful sunset. the food was fantastic. Fish was beautifully cooked and very fresh and the chips were just how I like them. A thoroughly enjoyable meal and experience. staff were friendly.

Bravo bravo

Anyone visiting Oban must come to the Waterfront Fishhouse! Excellent food and service in a great location - they also do an early 2 course evening meal for a great price.

What can one say about The Fishouse Restaurant, only this, if you are in Oban and you have a love for seafood, this is the place to come.

We have been coming to Oban for years as we love the area. However it was our first time eating here but won't be our last. We had a table overlooking the harbour which made my husband's day. The staff were friendly and very attentive. Even when it became busier we did not feel rushed. We both had the early dinner menu. I thought the portions would be small, how wrong I was. Everything we had was delicious, however the mussels were the best we have tasted.

Fabulous service, great views. Tasty cocktails. Good wine selection. The food was delicious and fresh. I will be back for sure. Best fish and chips every, however I would of preferred fish chips and mushy peas rather then salad. Sticky toffee pudding was divine and they kindly substituted the ice cream for cream. Tables are close to one another, but this was not an issue as we chatted to the people on the tables next to us.

We arrived late around 8:30 after having to take a massive detour owing to a road closure having come off the late afternoon Islay ferry. Fortunately service was still in full swing and did not rush us to finish in any way despite the restaurant closing at 9:30. Food was excellent especially the fish and chips which was beautifully battered. An excellent spot for a late feed.

Gorgeous views and delicious super fresh seafood. Got 3 appetizers and one main to share for two. Crab toast, scallops, salmon pate, and the daily special sea bass (favorite!). Also ordered 500ml wine and peach ice tea yum. They have some early evening and lunch specials that would be worth taking advantage of Edit: Came back for lunch the next day! Lunch special is not as good as dinner but still good. Maybe we didn’t order the right things, but either way I would have probably preferred the regular menu. The chowder was heavy but delicious (not pictured).

Went here for lunch. Made a reservation prior so no problems with finding a table. Ordered a starter, sea bream fillet and a sea bass. Portion size of the sea bream was a little on the small side, plus considering the fact that it's a seaside town with a good source of fish. Sea bass was tasty. Desserts of sticky toffee pudding and a cheesecake were great. 4 stars because we felt abit pressured but we must say that the staff were overall still very friendly. Would probably recommend ordering from the mains rather than the lunch/dinner sets.

We didn't book a table on a Saturday night but how lucky we were that the manager still managed to find us a table so four hungry souls were fed. The seafood was very delicious, nicely cooked and presented. The seafood chowder was rich and thick, the dressed brown crab was fresh, the lobster was amazing and the mussels were tasty. Top notch! The staff was very attentive.

Staff were attentive, friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is in the first floor which gave it a good view and ambiance. The seafood is really fresh and cooked perfectly. We absolutely love the seafood chowder! Oysters (grilled & chilled) are their must try. The mains came in big servings as well. Would definitely come back if around the area again.

We really enjoyed our meal here, the lunchtime/early evening menu of two courses for £21.50 is excellent value and surprisingly extensive for a set menu! I had stupidly booked our table for the wrong day but the waiter was very kind about it and still gave us a table, right by the window as well so we had a beautiful view of the bay. The food was great, especially the mussels which were some of the best we've ever tasted. Lovely restaurant, setting and service, highly recommend!

I was there with my grandmother. We were greeted very nicely and shown to the table. The starter was prawn cocktail and soup of the day, and the main course was salmon with green bean . We liked everything very much and considering the price, it was completely reasonable. The only Problem: the stairs are too steep for older people.

Wonderful food, great drinks and extremely reasonable prices for the quality that is being served. One of the best meals I’ve had during my week in Oban and to top it off the restaurant has brilliant views across the bay from its elevated position in front of the railway. The staff are very friendly, the service is great and the wait times for food are impressively short. Special mention for the cocktails which are outstanding, particularly the ‘Oban Sunset’.

We had a fabulous meal. I had the steak with peppercorn sauce although I found the sauce very thin. My family had the fish n chips which they enjoyed. The Cullen skink fishcake starter was lovely. A fair price for what we had

When I booked i asked for a window seat if possible When we arrived we were seated at the best window seat in the restaurant, the service was very good, thanks to waitress Brook. The food was excellent and very well presented, we will certainly be back. Just one thing make sure you book well in advance as it really is extremely busy.

Great food and superb service. We advised we would be bringing a guide dog on our reservation. The staff had thought carefully about where to seat us, and also allowed a spare table space for him. They checked this was suitable on arrival, and when we ordered asked if we needed any help with the food to make sure we could enjoy it. No restaurant has ever offered this before, anywhere, and with tricky shellfish this was incredibly thoughtful. Totally blown away by their attitude. And by the really great food. Thank you.
