Nories - Oban - Photo album

I’m a Canadian traveller, first time in Oban. Nories hit the spot. Great fish and chips, personally had the haddock and I recommend having it with vinegar. The hostess greeted me as I walked in and gave me her recommendations. Anthony (appeared to be owner/head chef) asked during my meal if I enjoye
Absolutely the best fish & Chips in Scotland, all very fresh, well presented and so tasty , also very friendly staff . Actually staff that give a dam , they interact with locals , tourists and and passers bye. Sit in or takeaway all cooked to order and well prices . Shout out to Anthony and I think
Ordered fish cake and chips, after a few locals recommend Nories as the best. The chips were cooked perfectly and the fish cake was tasty, soft in the middle and crunchy on the outside.
Very impressive chippy. Nice and clean and a very friendly owner that I had a good chat with whilst waiting for my food to cook. The chips were gorgeous, lovely tasting jumbo sausage and very nice mushy peas. Nice size portions too 👌🏻
Got the large haddock supper from here and they were not messing about. It was huge. And delicious. The batter on the fish was crispy AF and it was freshly fried on order. Chips were great too!
We had haggis and chips. Huge haggis, might not have been cooked as long it needed to be and short on pepperiness but still OK. Good chips. The seating area is what you expect in a smaller chip shop. Service was good if a little brusque, probably from having to manage foreign tourists who don't know
It was freshly cooked! The large haddock means two pieces of fish not one giant piece, the sausage was good too!
Had such a lovely experience at Nories recently. Was there with a group of pupils returning from a residential trip a few weeks ago, after we missed our train. The staff were excellent and very helpful. Completed our long order list of requests with a smile on their faces and even threw in a free ju
I got cod with chips; it was made fresh to order and tasted like it, too! Huge piece of fish and lots of chips, pretty good value for money. The chips’ texture was more like potato wedges than fries, which I liked. I’d definitely visit again!
Visiting from the US for the first time. Best fish & chips we’ve had. Generous portion of haddock with a light crispy batter. Chips were delicious too! Very friendly place that we would highly recommend!
Absolutely amazing food. I didn't like that there was a three pound fee added though for eating in and which I was not told about. We opted to eat in because it was raining. We didn't have five star service though, we just had our food brought out to us in a paper tray. We had to take up our cutlery
Delicious freshly made fish and chips. Served piping hot. Shop decor stands out amongst the other local chippies and we chose Nories on that basis, definitely weren't disappointed. Huge portions; tasty, fresh haddock and crispy batter.
BEST FISH AND CHIPS IN THE UK! Absolutely delicious, freshly cooked, to perfection. Delicious, well cooked chips, beautiful tasting fish and batter. Mushy peas delicious too. Never had better fish and chips !
