One of my favourite pubs. Food is top quality and staff is always super friendly and goes the extra mile to give you a great experience. Thank you to Georgina in particular for always making us feeling so welcome. Need to mention as well that their wine selection is stellar for a pub.
Absolutely magical. We had a pint of prawns, oysters, bread and olives, rockfish and moule. All cooked to perfection. The mussels were the star and the pot was easily enough for two if not three! We'd come to watch Yesterday showing on the outdoor cinema. It was delightful and the sound of wildlife in the creek in the background and bats flitting overhead was enchanting. The staff were spot on, especially Liz. Picture perfect evening. Thank you❤️
This is a beautiful restaurant with excellent service. The interior has historic exposed beams, an open fire, heavy wooden tables and very tasteful decor. The cocktails are outstanding! Truly excellent mixology. The food is good - but not as good as expected. The burger was overdone, the sole was slightly undercooked, the oysters were small and had a milky deposit on one I’ve never seen in an oyster before. We were brought the three fish dishes with regular sides instead of the Sunday roast sides as was offered and requested. Our food was also served at different times due to the dietary requirements of one. I think this place is amazing though and want to come back to retry the food as the sprays were excellent. The rooms of the restaurant are divided up in a way that they feel intimate despite having plenty of spaces. The bathrooms are very ‘pub’ style - they don’t do the restaurant justice in terms of space, fittings, comfort, capacity or class. I’ll be back.
Oh my! We ate like Royalty! The food was delicious and entirely unexpectedly sophisticated! Pub grub with finesse and so, so flavoursome. The staff were warm and welcoming and even though it's off the beaten track a little, definitely find the time. It's a beautiful village pub.
Had an unforgettable meal at the Three Mariners in Oare! The short rib of beef was slow-cooked to perfection and just melted off the bone. Hands down, the best I've ever tasted. Strongly recommend. Five stars!
We had an outstanding meal at this pub on Sunday. The sea bass was the largest we've ever been served, cooked to perfection and accompanied by a mix of samphire, tomatoes and potatoes. Waitresses were charming, friendly and helpful. The best lunch ever, we'll be back!
Popped in for some lunch and a quiet pint today with our dog, food was delicious, and the staff were very friendly.
We sat in the lower part of the garden next to the boats that provided a nice shaded area for the dog.
We will definitely be going back in the future.
Value for money - to a degree yes. The food is locally sourced and not your usual pub food so the price we paid was the price we expected for such quality
Service - was excellent. From the minute we walked in we was welcomed. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Food was prepared in a timely fashion also.
Quality of food - Excellent. Food was served in such wonderful presentation. The flavours were exquisite, and would have ordered more if it weren't for me being full up too soon.
Atmosphere - lovely cosy little pub with a very welcoming atmosphere. I didn't feel out of place stepping in and nor did I feel overwhelmed. There was noise of people having their conversations but none too loud or disruptive. Everything just at the perfect balance of you feeling like you can have a chat and laugh without disrupting anyone else, and vice versa.
Overall experience - I can not complain at all. The bill didn't give me a heart attack which is always nice. I enjoyed the social aspect of having a nice little lunch for the two of us and getting delicious high quality food. This place certainly is a gem.
We always have a wonderful experience here. Great food, good choice of drinks & wonderful attentive & friendly service. Highly recommended.
Stunning pub. Been twice now and both been great. Eaten a Sunday roast first time which was superb, 2nd time just had a drink. Can't recommend this pub enough!
Fabulous meal. We were able to get a table without having booked, had a great location near the real fire. Lovely atmosphere and friendly, knowledgeable staff. Fish dishes are recommended. Good wine too.
What a gem! We was so impressed when walking by. Had no idea the food was so good and the place so beautiful. Definitely recommend!
Delicious Monday evening meal with colleagues. Friendly staff. Wonderful produce. Great cooking. Empty plates!!
A very pleasant end to a circular walk around the Oare Marshes. It's quite a food oriented pub but there certainly is space just to sit and have a beer (and this was a Sunday afternoon).
There is a pleasant multi-levelled garden out the back with views towards the east - not the most beautiful view but it's a pleasant place to sit.
It is, of course, a Sheps house with their usual range: Master Brew and Whitstable Bay Pale Ale on the pumps. Bottled 1698 available but only from the fridge.
Definitely a welcome end of a walk to the Swale and back and friendly welcoming staff.
All the dishes were nice, however the beef shin, with mash and smoked carrot was truly divine. Prices reasonable, service pleasant and a good range of menu options.
Celebrated a friend's wedding there and it was superb. Lovely owners, great food and a super garden. It was such a happy day.
a friendly welcome from the staff. Great food had the chicken burger, glad it didn't come with chips. Staff very helpful when asked about walking around the area. will certainly be back
Only made a quick stop here but the pub looks lovely and relaxed, plenty of seating indoors and out. Service was quick and polite all in all a lovely place to stop off.
