Fantastic lunch today for 9 of us at The Mendip Inn (5 adults and 4 under 5y boys). The staff got a table ready for us in 10mins without us needing to book. We had great service, friendly staff and divine food, nice big portions for all!
Definitely returning and high recommend, especially for families with children as made us feel welcome even with our crazy boys being loud and active and they even have an ice cream bar! Also has a good outside play area. Absolutely cracking!
Stopped in for lunch on the way home from Weymouth. Great pub. Tastefully decorated. Cosy and classy. Very welcoming staff. Food was lovely. Fed the family (of 4) for under £40, including drinks!
I suspect going for a evening meal here would be a great dining experience.

We went to the Steak Night tonight lovely food and service would definitely recommend and will be going again. Great value for money 2 steaks for £20.00 for rump, sirloin or rib eye and fillet steak 2 for £28.00.
Yet again another fantastic evening, no matter what you choose from the menu you are guaranteed an amazing meal, as a large group the service was top notch such great friendly staff, looking forward to my next visit! Thank you for making my birthday meal so great
An unexpected stop for us on our way down to Devon having never been to this area before - this pub/restaurant was a total delight. The food was delicious and fresh (great portions), and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The kids loved it too. We're hoping to stop here again on our way back from holiday next week. Really lovely, thank you very much x

First time there and found the service to be exceptional straight away. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was amazing! I like to eat but couldn't manage all of the mixed grill.....amazing!
Amazing food. Lovely staff. Very helpful called in here wet and bedraggled too late for dinner however had desserts to die for
We had our daughters birthday � meal there on Wednesday 31st January. Table for 25 no problem no prebooked meals all cooked to order on the night. Great food �. All staff were perfect hosts nothing was too much trouble. We were all made very welcome throughout the evening. We always know the food is going to be lovely so will be returning again soon. Thank you to you all.
Visited on Fathers Day for Sunday roast. Although the service was slow (as the pub was extremely busy) we were compensated with some complimentary side dishes. The roast dinner was AMAZING as were the desserts. Will definitely visit again for a taste of the regular menu.
