This is a fabulously quaint coaching Inn. I've been staying here on and off for 14 years and I love it! Great central location with car parking a short walk away. A little old fashioned, but for me, that's part of the charm. The bar, with its open fire is a wonderful place to relax on a winters even
I've been staying here for 5 weeks with work (2 to go) and I cannot fault anything.
The staff are really friendly, the rooms are nice and the breakfast is fantastic.
Had some drinks in the bar, also can't fault this.
Nice central location, easy to access car parking, ideal place to stay and I highl
A cosy, warm, Christmasy atmosphere. Lovely fire burning away in the lounge area. 8 of us came for a late lunch. We thought they would say 'too late, sorry' but no, the chef said yes, and they welcomed us in! We were all very satisfied with our choices. All the staff were super friendly. Thank yo
Plenty of space out the front to park and unload with a private car park to the rear with a literal minute walk to the rear of the hotel, where you walk into a lovely courtyard and beer garden. Staff were super helpful and friendly and willing to go above and beyond going as far as to lend us thei
We stayed for the night at this 17th Century Inn with dinner & breakfast included.
Our room was big, quiet looking over the front shops square carpark with a comfy big bed.
It had a tv, a heater & a spacious bathroom with shower over bath & lots of hot water.
The staff were very professional, polite
Lunch of croque madame, an amazing club sandwich. Fish and chips poor but immediately removed from the bill. Lovely waiter, lovely atmosphere, lovely place to visit
Staff couldn't be more helpful here, they got me out of a sticky situation when another hotel cancelled on me upon arrival. Manager was kind enough to allow a late check in to save me sleeping in my car. Only stayed a short amount of time but the room was very nice with a comfy bed. Couldn't stay fo
Only stayed for coffee and a sausage roll, but lovely lounge (log fire), good coffee, helpful staff. Will visit again.
Lovely stylish and cosy bar with excellent service. I can recommend the House white wine. Very welcoming.
We went last week for an afternoon cream tea. Our friends had bought us a gift voucher for Christmas. It was lovely. The front of house young man was friendly and welcoming. He showed us to our table and bought us our drinks then sandwiches and cake. Plenty of everything we couldn’t eat it all. Refi
Ordered burgers and chips for delivery lastnight and I can tell you it was worth every penny. I could eat the chips all day and the burgers were some of the best we've had in a long time. The delivery driver was polite and friendly, too. Next payday we'll be ordering again.
We visited the Brook Whipper-In for afternoon as we'd been given a gift voucher. This lovely little hotel is very easy to find on the Oakham market square. There is parking available outside most days unless the market is on. If the outside parking isn't available, there's a pay and display car park
