I have worked here for 6 years and the food has always been amazing. The place is kept incredibly clean and has won 'best chips in Oakham' on numerous occasions.

Last night's fish and chips were the best I've ever had. Really crispy chips and light crispy batter on the chunky fish. Perfect!!
The Fish bar is open at some good times for early or late lunches. The specials are really well priced and quick service. Good, friendly staff offering wrapped or open cartons.
We live in Uppingham, but chose to come to this chippy as it is always so fresh and beautifully cooked and served by very friendly staff.

Visited here while on holiday in Rutland and was a bit unsure of the quality after reading some of the reviews.
The fish n chips turned out to be fantastic with no hint of soggyness at all! Batter was crisp and golden with nice flaky fish inside.
Parking outside was easy and the staff were friendly
