Excellent evening meal. Called in on passing. The manager opened the dining room early to accommodate us as the main pub was quite crowded. The delicious meal was served by a cheerful waitress. We waited quite a while for the food but boy it was worth the wait. All was cooked to perfection, even the veggies were 'just right'. The steak was so tender & the home made chicken Kiev was delicious. Well deserved 5s well done chef & anchor staff

Another beautiful meal at The Anchor, this time to celebrate my birthday. Couldn't think of a better place to come locally. Three different meals and three very satisfied customers. Waiting staff really friendly and helpful. Thank you all for a lovely evening.

I have often driven past this pub and thought I really must give it a try, well tonight I had the opportunity and wish I had tried it before. I had a lovely meal and the landlord was a wonderful character. Will definitely be making this one of my "go to" places.

My wife and I Booked a room here for twelve people on our silver wedding anniversary and renewal of our vows, the staff were friendly and polite, the food was absolutely fantastic with a good variety of starters and deserts and Neil and Alex, the landlords, could not do enough for us and our guests and made our day very special. Thank you to all at The Anchor from Dean and Sharon.

My wife and I dine at the Anchor most weeks, the food is always excellent especially the 'specials menu' always something different to chose from, this week I had the swordfish, well cooked and well presented. We particularly enjoy the atmosphere and hospitality, nothing is ever to much trouble, always made to feel welcome by Neil, Alex and staff. I would certainly recommend the Anchor.

As usual great meal.. really really good food. We waited a little while but not unreasonable. It was busy with two large parties which they told us about. Highly recommend 👌

Excellent canal side pub with friendly staff. We didn't eat here, but judging by the busy midweek punters, it seems very popular.

We visited here on Saturday night as we had an event to attend on Sunday morning. We were able to park our van in the carpark and stay overnight with electric hookup. We did not have to pay as we were eating in the restaurant much to our surprise :) The food was amazing! I had the belly pork which was to die for , melt in the mouth meat. My partner had the chicken tikka and was overly happy with his decision. The staff were ever so friendly! I would like to especially thank a lady called Vicky who made us feel so welcome ! We cannot wait to return in the summer to see the garden renovations ! 🤩

Staff were so attentive and couldn't do enough to help, we couldn't fault them in any way. Beer was good, but only a selection of two ales. Now we come to food, what can I say.. portions were massive, we had a lunch steak focaccia between us, and that was more than enough for us. Another table had a once in a month special Yorkshire pie wrap, which could have fed a family of 4. 5 stars for food, service and more importantly friendliness of staff...keep it up

A great place for eating out of town with family, where little ones can run around. Only disappointment was you couldn't order from the bar menu if sitting outside and instead it was a "street food van". Kids area was OK for older kids but noting for suitable for toddlers as they only have a climbing frame. We sat in the restaurant and food was very good. What stood out was the customer service and staff all very friendly and go out of their way for you. Atmosphere could be better (they had footy on the TV so it felt a bit sports bar rather than an ambient restaurant for a Saturday evening meal). Would recommend.

Lovely welcoming place with such a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Incredible food with very VERY generous portion sizes. Duo of beef - super tender and tasty, good and plentiful selection of fresh veg, and my first fondant potatoes were delicious. Hubby had a perfect steak , beautiful stilton sauce and plenty of it, and his chips looked so golden and crispy. Side of 'proper' onions which were huge. Cannot say enough good things. Give them a go!!

Where do I start? I went to the Anchor Inn 4 years ago, and it was that good I never went back until tonight. Good news, the dogs and the smell have gone. From the outside, it looks like nothing has changed. You walk up the stairs from the car park, and you notice the dog smell has gone. It's when you turn left into the restaurant bar. You see the difference. (It is a work in progress) Nicely laid out tables, clean looking. Staff are friendly and helpful. The menu is small but well thought out. It is not overpriced for the quality of the food. There is a specials board as well. I had Steak & Stilton pie, chips, and peas. It cost less than a £10. As you can see in the photo, the food looks fantastic. I can vouch for the taste. The Anchor Inn has now become Nuneaton's little secret. You won't find any new information on the place. The only way to find out is to go there. I will go back now.

Pleasantly surprised! Stopped on the way past and so glad I did. Fantastic food and the staff were very welcoming and couldn't do more to make it a great experience. Huge portions at a reasonable price. Highly recommended and huge thanks to the staff and landlady. Proper pub this!

I stopped here on my last day of my holiday, and was delighted at how helpful and friendly the Landlord was. We had a lovely time here and the food was excellent. I can recommend the Banana waffle for dessert, it was delicious. It was a bonus to be able to take our dogs here, and the garden is more than big enough. The canal is at the back of the garden, and is a refreshing walk after a meal. The prices are fair, and not expensive, and the drinks are well priced too. There is a large play area for children as well, so if you are looking for a peaceful visit, be aware of this. Great pub!!!!!

Came here last minute on an overnight camper night stay as we had tickets to watch The Smyth's (Smith's tribute band) in Nuneaton. From the moment we set foot in the place, we were made to feel so welcome and that nothing was too much trouble even though they were running a skeleton staff as the owner was poorly (get well soon boss! your staff are utterly amazing and doing a great job). Lewis/Louis/Luis who was running the show, great background music, great service and great energy and many thanks to Lily and the other member of staff, sorry forgot her name, who made our stay so brilliant, thanks! I have recommended you on a camper van site so I hope you'll get loads of business! The food was good and portion sizes huge!
