We were recommended to go here. Both had the pies, mine was chicken, bacon and thyme. Beautiful meal and very filling. Excellent value for money. Would return to try something else.
Took the family here for lunch, it was a quiet Thursday so no reservation required. The food is very good, we had viewed the menu on line in advance so knew what we wanted, everything listed was available, it's fresh cooked food which was served in a timely fashion, all the meals were good with 6 em
Visited in a large work group. We had pre-ordered, which made life much easier. The food was lovely. All served within a reasonable time of each other and nice and hot. I had a beetroot pie with Goat'scheese sauce, which I was rather reticent about on the menu, but it was delicious. Chips and cabbag
Very nice place. Very friendly staff, nice spacious layout and great food. Burnt ends were fantastic, very tasty chicken, bacon and cheese burger and I chose a selection of ice cream scoops for dessert that were spectacular. Great value for money I thought and nice atmosphere. Recommended.
Met for lunch. The staff are always welcoming and helpful. The food on offer is fairly typical pub food - steaks, pies, burgers, baguettes, chips, mash... Some salads on offer. Went for a steak and Stilton baguette. The bread was delicious and crisp, the filling excellent. Personally, I would have p
Took visiting family here for a meal. We arrived almost at the end of lunchtime but we were accommodated without fuss and the steak and ale pie was delicious. Will return again.
Service was really lovely but staff were far too busy. Although the place was virtually empty they were setting up and it was a struggle to ask for things as were restocking. I don't blame them, they were working hard, but an extra team member was needed. Food was also really slow, we waited over 40
Found this pub on the A5 after I ended up somewhere near Nuneaton. Friendly staff, great service and good food. I had a Ploughman's Lunch, with generous portions of cheese and ham hock along with pickled onions and a basket of bread, followed by some tasty vanilla, salted caramel and pistachio ice c
Went here for my 34th Birthday, and was an absolute pleasure. Waitresses were friendly and attentive, Steak and Ale Pie with Mash was to die for, and prices are overall very reasonable for the quality. I honestly would rate the food here some of the best in the area, and highly recommend it to oth
Eaten here a few times and they do great steaks. Had the Sunday shared beef plater today and scollops to start. Beautiful meal and great service.
Nice pub/restaurant,lots of character. Pleasant staff and decent ales, only Ringwood or Pedigree though when we visited, lots of other beers and cider though. We ordered a couple of Steak and Stilton baguettes and fries. They were well presented and very tasty! We will definitely be returning!
First visit in a long time, nice beer garden at the rear with plenty of parking. Inside it seems fine, was busy on the day, drinks a little pricey, but seems to be a decent place in the short stop that we made.
Food was great, the pies here especially. Nice atmosphere. Good service from emily and ella.
Popped in for a quick bite for the first time around 6pm on a Tuesday and it was already reasonably busy. Staff were welcoming and polite. We we seated and served drinks quickly and the food came pretty fast too. Quality and presentation of the food was excellent. The fillet steak was a good cut of
Very nice lunch, comfortable atmosphere and very welcoming and friendly service from the staff…Had the best steak and ale pie! My wife had a delicious stone baked pizza, would recommend for a nice belly warmer!
Wonderful Sunday lunch. Can't understand why you have to pay extra for mashed potato. Never had that one before. Apart from that really. good lunch.
Have a pie! Their homemade pies are just brilliant. Full of filling, pastry is great, yeah, nice.
Food was lovely and piping hot. Staff very friendly and the price was good. Would recommend.
I stepped in during a long journey and was blown away by their steak and ale pie. Full of meat and utterly rich and flavourful. A little on the pricey side but I think you certainly get what you pay for.
