Kottaram.. was the perfect place for a birthday celebration. We booked the table online for 13th October 2023. Though we reached ahead of time, we were welcomed and provided a table. The ambience is beautiful and welcoming. The lighting’s are just perfect for a awesome evening. Every detail has been taken care off including the menu. The design of the menu is perfect to create and appetite. We ordered for a drink and chilli chicken as a started and Tandoor roti to go with the Tikka Masala. Good taste and quantity for 2 persons with a good appetite. Finally a good taste to add to the memories of the day.

I arrived without a reservation but the owner, without hesitation, very quickly accomodated me; even though the restaurant was a flurry of activity. Honestly the service was outstanding with chef not dissapointing at all. The scallops as a starter set the tone for a fabulous meal that followed. The whole evening went superbly even though every table was occupied. Every patron was having a thoroughbly enjoyable dinner.

My experience has been the best. The food was really good. After a year, I finally had authentic Kerala food. I tried the beef kizhi and it was perfect. Thanks for the chai :)

Located in the heart of Nottingham City Centre on the Maid Marian Way, KOTTARAM Restaurant offers a good spread of authentic Indian cuisine with South Indian cuisine being the highlight. There is plenty of parking in the streets nearby, including the multistorey car park in Street. The ambience was great with staff friendly and welcoming. We ordered a starter and main dish each, all of which were very good. We liked the authentic Kerala (a South Indian state) dishes the best. Overall, it was a lovely dining experience.

The service was amazing and so was the food honestly will come again. The portions are a really good size didn’t know so I was so full by the end of it. The prices are pretty decent too it’s not expensive for what you get.

I took my friends to try the authentic Indian food. We had ordered the mixed grill platter (was marinated so nicely that ended up ordering 2nd one as well), chicken lollypop which was marvellous with sesame seeds on the top. The chutneys with poppadums and the mixed grill were finger licking. Curries we went for were saag chicken, tandoori chicken and prawns curry along with a nice shiraz wine. Ended the meal with hot gulaab jamun and ice cream. The ambience and the service were top level and the staff was very sweet. We also met the chef at the end who was based from Kerala - the beautiful south coastal Indian state.

One of the best authentic kitchens in Nottingham. Everything we ate tasted really good. Would definitely visit again. The staff is so friendly and a great ambience too. A big menu with a great variety of items and prices are reasonable. I celebrated my birthday here. They really made every effort to make it memorable. A big 'Thank you' to the management.

Visited on a Monday evening and although quiet (as the city always is on a Monday!), the food and service were outstanding. We were served promptly when we arrived and the wait staff were very friendly and polite. The food is by far the best Indian food I've had in Nottingham. We had a sharing plate to start, which was all super fresh and very tasty. Just the right amount of heat and incredibly flavourful. My main of seafood biryani was delicious, with fluffy rice and a generous portion of seafood. Will definitely be back again and would definitely recommend. Amongst a sea of Indian restaurants on Maid Marion Way, Kottaram beats them all.
