Excellent Service! Smiles, happy and efficient! Superb Food, the taste and quantity! we ordered a Tawa and chapli kabab for a family of 4, two children, plenty of food taken home! the taste was the best Afghan food I have had in UK and I have tried plenty of restaurants. We were served by a young lady named Shahad and she made our experience 10x better! Thank you very much and we promise to return. Customers from Bham!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at a restaurant where the delectable cuisine was perfectly complemented by the exceptional managerial skills of Ali, and I must say, it was an experience worth raving about. From the moment I entered the establishment, I was captivated by the inviting ambiance, and it was Ali who set the tone for a truly memorable evening.
First and foremost, let's talk about the food. The culinary delights presented to us were nothing short of extraordinary. Each dish was prepared with meticulous attention to detail, bursting with flavors that danced on my taste buds. From the appetizers to the main course and the decadent desserts, every bite was an explosion of taste and creativity. The menu catered to a variety of palates, offering a diverse selection of dishes that beautifully combined both classic and innovative flavors.
What truly stood out, however, was Ali's seamless management throughout the entire dining experience. Ali's commitment to customer satisfaction was evident in every aspect of the evening. From ensuring prompt and attentive service to personally interacting with each table, Ali's passion for hospitality shone brightly. It was evident that he genuinely cared about his guests' experiences and went above and beyond to exceed their expectations.
You must try Tawa 10/10
We had our anniversary dinner here on 10.03.2023. The atmosphere was fantastic, the service from the staff was spot on and the food was sensational!
This was our first time dining here and the first time anywhere can be shadowed in skepticism unless said place is a recommendation from friends, family, or someone you trust. However, from our first steps inside the building, we were made to feel comfortable and relaxed within moments by the staff, who greeted us with smiles and guided us to our table.
The service was fairly quick and fast; drinks were out in good time and the main meal too. However, we were only the second party in at that particular moment and they were open just over half an hour from when we came in.
Coming on to what we ate, we had the Oranos' Platters for 4, which were so, so scrumptious! All of the items were cooked well and kept warm to the point that they could be eaten and appreciated without burning our tongues or being overloaded with chillies—not at all, just perfection!
However, I knocked 1 star off and that was only because, when we got home, we were looking to do this review and were looking through the menu and the pictures we had taken and then realised that we were missing two items from the platter meal... Which is the only disappointment that these were missed.
Edit: Since the above notes, we have spoken to the manager, Ali and he has assured us that next time we are in, we can have any dish as a compensation.
Edit 2: We have decided not to come back for the compension, we wish you the best and hope In-Sha-Allah the service improves.
Had an absolutely amazing evening with delicious food, and the mango lassie was definitely the highlight of the evening, and the service was great.
Really surprised by the food, didn't expect much but well spiced. We had the tawa for 2 and platter for 2 with the Mantoos which were like dumpling with nice lentils on them and there were around 10 of them so plenty of food.
Great service and would recommend the Afghani ice cream at the end
Ordered the enormous tawa for 4 persons, and we could barely finish it! Flavours spot on, meat tender, not greasy nor salty. Bread is freshly made. The waitress and waiters are attentive. Service is quick!
Had the pleasure of dining at Oranos today, and had a great time! I must say the Qabili Pallaw was exceptional - the best rice I’ve tasted in a while, would definitely recommend trying it if you visit!
Great service and amazing food. Really impressed with the quality of the food and portion sizes. We ordered the tawa for 4 people and the platter for 2 and that was enough for our group. The owner/manager was extremely accommodating and waitress were polite and attentive.
The restaurant was not busy so we didn't need to make a reservation.
Service was bit slow but staff were friendly and helpful.
Tried this restaurant a few weeks ago one evening. Good amount of tables and I think it will prove to be popular in its location. The Alfreton Road in this area has a couple more quality halal food restaurants which are often busy so it's very welcome having Oranos Grill & Karahi here too. Staff were very pleasant and efficient. The platter for two that was suggested was really worth it, and it was also highly recommended by another couple feasting on their order. Will visit again regularly.
Have been here multiple times and loved the food every time. It has become a regular visit place for me. One of the girl Sara is very professional and makes sure that every request is addressed properly. Highly recommended for south asian taste in Nottingham
I had a brilliant time today with my 2 brothers at Oranos and especially would like to say special thanks to Shahed who served us and made us very welcome. She was very attentive and recommended us the Tawa for 4. I will be back soon with the family.
I would recommend they put some red meat starters on the Tawa instead of some of the chicken items as it was chicken wings, chicken tikka, chicken seekh kebab other than that I would say it's really good, if they could heat the Tawa before serving that also would be a nice touch and put a pair of tongs on it too.
Awesome food , excellent customer care, multilingual staffs .
Absolutely fantastic food. We had the Afghani chicken and Afghani lamb. Both dishes were very tasty and authentic. Whats really good is that its so very reasonably priced. After our meal we served Arabic tea on the house. It's just a small thing but the gesture is good. This was my third visit this year so that says a lot.
Nice ambiance, plenty of spaces, good for family gatherings. Plenty of options to choose i.e westerns steak, Afghan dishes, Pakistani etc. Portion is not too bad especially Qabli Pilau, it can definitely serve for two.
Car parking can be an issue as the restaurant is right in front of the main road. Minimal space at the back so may have to walk a bit further to park safely.
Shame that they have stopped offering NHS discount due to the machine can't do it anymore? Completely perplexed as it is still advertised on the main pamphlet menu. Need to change it as to not confuse the customers.
