Lakeside is truly a top notch place! I have given it 5 stars because I genuinely felt like I was at a 5 star venue with 5 star service. It was a little bit disappointing that we got there after 19:30 so it just meant that we couldn’t order hot food. But we was allowed to order desert and drinks. I h
Beautiful surroundings complete with, as the name suggests, lake, fountains, listed building, wooden terrace, mood lighting and perfect landscaping. We made the most of it sitting outside at the Lakeside Terrace. Shame that the main road is so close.

The new owner has done a fantastic job of keeping the character of the place whilst modernising and bringing the place up to date. I wish him every success. We even got a glimpse of the real Santa in his grotto..

An amazingly beautiful place and the work that has gone into bringing back its former glory is epic. Food is fantastic and although u can only sit outside at the moment it's still a very friendly atmosphere.
Beautiful setting, enjoyed the food. Would be good if could do a light bites lunch menu for the less hungry. Service pretty good, didn't get offered dessert menu though!
