Nipped in for a quick pint on a sunny Saturday. Good atmosphere with plenty of families. Football on the TVs, good vibes. Drinking area out the front and a larger one round the back with kids play area and large carpark.
Unplanned visit with close family and friends. Kids say - ' "it's really good and tasty and would come here again" '

Highly recommended this place whether it's taking the family for a great meal or if your in need of a brilliant night out with friends family and even your children now as it is family friendly from open to close. From live music to karaoke had an absolutely brilliant night in here, place is very clean and staff will do anything to help. Went in today to watch forest game and had a Sunday roast and had no faults at all the food was amazing and the atmosphere was brilliant. The new people that have taken over have done a fantastic job

Just had a lovely lunch from the 'senior' menu with a couple of friends. 3 courses £10.99 which was very good value. Not large plates but every course was tasty and the apple pie and custard was delicious.
Had a great time at the newly refurbished Penny. Food menu is small but delivered well and something to appeal to most tastes. Drink selection is excellent and love what has been done in the refurb.
