Amazing find! The large cod was huge, the large sausage was large, the large portion of chips was plenty for 2 of us and the hand battered onion rings were amazing and so many of them we had plenty left over for seconds. Gravy and peas also great! Staff were very friendly and helpful and other customers obviously looked like regulars and very happy. Easy parking outside and amazingly good value for money. Would definitely use again. Very highly recommended!
Now we all know I'm a Weatherby Whaler fan and have exceptionally high standards, so I was amazed that it took me a good 40minutes to eat my food. The fish was crispy and pure white throughout, not greasy but just right. The chips were well cooked and fluffy in the middle, which shows a perfect cook. Mushy peas were delightful and I throughly enjoyed my meal, the people in the shop were polite and well spoken, enquiring where I was walking to etc so overall - yes I would return.
I was in the area so popped in, the lady was very friendly, I asked about cod and was suggested a fish special. The fish chips and mushy peas were all great and good value for money 100% would recommend
