Great pub, gotta be the best in the village I’d say nowadays. Always busy, had great food, something for everyone. Great garden, always has been: the place is and has been amazing since the refurb! The real ale selection is a bit lacking but that’s not their main attraction, if you want that, go to other pubs in the village!
Now for the star of the show: Lawrence! He’s great, and is an amazing waiter. He takes great care of you and his customer service is always on point.
We came across this pub by accident on a walk and have been meaning to go so booked for our anniversary. Everything was stunning; the food, the service, the atmosphere and the space! We were sat with a view into the kitchen, and the people who served us were so nice and made us feel so welcome. I had some dishes off the vegan menu and my partner had the steak which he loved. When they brought our dessert they'd written Happy Anniversary, which was such a special touch. We'll be back here a lot!
The Radcliffe is a good find for vegans. We have a separate menu making it easier to choose and the food is beautifully cooked. I had pearl barley risotto followed by ginger sponge pudding with rhubarb compote and ice cream. Absolutely yummy. I will be back. Service was friendly and welcoming.
I’ve lost count how many times we’ve been here! On every visit the service is friendly, the food is delicious, the atmosphere buzzy & the company fabulous.
We’re so lucky to have such a wonderful venue on our doorstep.
Tonight was a Teague ladies get together (sisters & mum) We had our favourite table in the window & a selection of various dishes: goats cheese starter(for Mum), then for mains we had a Radcliffe burger, fish & chips, chargrilled sirloin steak and flat-iron steak (my choice & highly recommended).
Dessert was pavlova, vanilla custard tart & sticky toffee pudding.
All our food was well presented & tasty. The portion sizes are generous. The service is second to none. The staff are friendly and professional.
They’re currently running a 🍁 25OFF—TOBER🍁 offer which made this a perfect mid-week treat.
We love The Radcliffe & will be back again very soon 😀

Excellent place for a Sunday roast! We’ve been here 4 times for a roast so far and cannot fault the service and also quality of the food. Highly recommend for drinks too, with a very nice bar area and outside seating.
Very spontaneous choice to go for a meal here. It was a Wednesday and thought we would go for a family (4 of us) meal as it had recently been awarded pub of the year for the region.
When we arrived and saw how busy the car park was at 6pm on a Wednesday we thought we could be out of luck here.
There was 1 lone table free and we got straight in and it was a hit with all from the start.
The menu showed it was ladies night which consisted of choice from 2 courses and a glass of Prosecco for £19.95 along with a large area out the back for the children to play in.
An unexpected bonus was an acoustic musician/singer performing in the bar also.
The food, drinks, service and surroundings were all excellent and we said we would be sure to come back
First visit last night and it impressed - fantastic happy staff who are just lovely. Buzzing atmosphere with plenty of people. Starter was just fantastic, maim was a little pricey and maybe including a side would help long term - although I get the food
Is at another level compared to most village venues. This is not just a “pub” but is very much verging on restaurant. The new interior is a mega improvement - with cozy split up spaces to sit replacing the previous open space. Only improvement could be some sound absorbing materials - it gets insanely loud.
Lunch at The Radcliffe
Nottinghamshire Pub Of the Year
It's nice to see a local pub putting Nottingham on the map.
They do a 3 course set lunch menu £21
We decided to go for the main menu that has lots more interesting choices.
To start
Crispy Cod Scampi
Warm Asparagus with poached egg
Mains
Chargrilled Sirloin Steak & pepper sauce
Roast Cod
Desserts
Profiterole with Tiramisu Cream😋
Warm Chocolate Fondant
With its modern clean decor and great food selection you can see why its a worthy winner.
We especially like the open kitchen that allows you to watch the chefs hard at work preparing the dishes.
The staff are lovely, friendly and professional.
Not forgetting The Radcliffes wonderful beer garden for those sunny days.
A great pub and well worth a visit.
Review helpful like 👍 follow thanks
Late uploading my review!Went to the Radcliffe a few weeks ago with family who live in the village! This place has always been a dead duck over the years! But what a transformation!!! Fantastic atmosphere great food and large selection of cask ales and drinks ! Also a good varied children’s menu for today’s fussy eaters. We had the belly pork which I have to say was probably the best I’ve ever tasted. Based on our experience we have booked up for the Christmas menu ....Enough said !! We are returning that says it all 👍. Christmas update !! See pics 👍👍👍 a gastro rollercoaster 👍👍 very happy 😊UPDATE: Been tonight the 18/05/22 fantastic food by far the best gastro pub food I’ve ever had. Very friendly staff also .
The restaurant bit was empty except for myself. Trying to get served was not as easy as I would expect. As I think they were understaffed. It was 5pm on a Thursday. The menu is generally excellent. But one of my dishes was somewhat mediocre on this occasion. Normally scrumptious and interesting. Disappointed. But will go again. As I believe generally they are much better than most other venues of this type
One of the best pubs we have been to in a while. Really friendly and welcoming staff. Delicious food, we would highly recommend
A large group of us went 23 Dec in the evening and most of us orded of the festive menue. I had duck Pate for starter and that was very nice. I had a turkey dinner, very nice and the turkey was soft and moist. The portion was not too big. It was table service and staff came round regularly asking if anyone would like drinks and clearing empty glasses and plates etc. Everyone in my group enjoyed their meal and there was colouring to occupie the children. The disbuld toilet is not a radar key one and is a baby changing room to. The disabled toilet was clean and smelled nice, there was even hand cream. I had to ask staff to sort the paper towl dispencer and they where very quick at sorting it. The pub is easy to get to by public transport, bus and train station not far from it; please be awear the train station is unmand and the last train back to Nottingham is 9pm; also be awar that the Radcliff villager bus stops running by 8pm from Radcliffe, you can catch the Mainline but but that quite a walk back into Radcliffe to get it. The pub is well worth a visit, it has a large carpark.
Gorgeous lamb ragù, gorgeous pork loin, gorgeous pizzas served by quick and cheerful staff. The hazelnut praline cheesecake was the best dessert I’ve had for years. We all loved the food!
This is a great village pub, with large outside spaces, some covered too so you can be outside and stay dry in Covid-socialising. The food is always really impressive and I'm looking forwards to sitting inside again and watching the open kitchen. The starter and pudding were particularly delightful and made it worth booking in advance to get a table.
Lovely place, really nice atmosphere, open kitchen. We arrived 15 mins before the kitchen was closing but were promptly seated & order taken. Food was great, staff friendly and helpful. If we’re in the area again we will definitely revisit!
Very friendly staff and great food and service, really stylish and reliable. 👌 👍
Great food and amazing Staff as usual.
Would highly recommend.
