Great vegan and vegetarian menu but they don't leave meat eaters out either. Good was top notch, beer was nice and the place and staff couldn't be better. Will be back very soon

I love this chilled pub (daytime!) I had the vegan steak with chips, the chips are the best I've had for years and the Gravy was to die for. To add to the great atmosphere there was a brilliant pianist playing outside.

Now I visited again when sober it gets full marks. What a great pub. At first you are not inspired but once you investigate the place you find some great ale. Nice staff and generally proper.

A delightful pub. As a vegan family we ate heartily and enjoyed all different meals. The vegan toffee cheesecake was bliss. I'd definitely eat here again. Plenty of choice for herbivores and carnivores.

As the promoter of JUICY, The Angel has very much become our home. It’s perfectly unique and a lot of our crowd come from outside of Nottingham and they have nothing but praise for this unique venue.

Finally got around to sampling the menu yesterday and was not disappointed, had the vegetarian steak which tasted amazing, great price and waited a good amount of time for it to arrive I will definitely be coming back soon!

Awesome craft beer pub and they brew onsite. Good choice of craft beers and some real ales & cider. Didn't have food but the roast dinner looked fab. Friendly staff, was here on a Sunday afternoon having a chilled few pints while listing to a dj spinning some great soul & funk on the decks

Fantastic local brewery tap-house! Very friendly and welcoming bar staff. There’s as many as 8 beers on tap, two of them at least of the writing of this review, are brewed in the building. Decent menu of food too. Worth a stop on a Notts pub crawl.

Cracking real ale/microbrewery pub. Delicious food with GF and Vegan options. Quirky rustic decor and an alternative vibe. Friendly staff and as you would expect a large range of drinks plus constantly changing beers. Great atmosphere. Enjoy. M

After hearing a lot about this pub, my wife and I decided to visit the Angel on a Tuesday afternoon. It exceeded our expectations: the food (especially the beer battered fish and onion rings) were sublime, and I enjoyed working my way through their huge real ale selection. There was truly something for everyone. For a Tuesday afternoon, there were a surprising number of patrons, which made for a lively atmosphere. We look forward to coming again for dinner, a pint, a live gig, or perhaps the trio!

Just had a drink but bar staff were very friendly and drinks were reasonably priced for town centre

Historic venue with an old school class. I've seen gigs here since the mid nineties and it is still one of my favourite INDEPENDENT venues in Nottingham & anywhere in the UK. Underground venue hall-of-fame candidate without doubt.

We held our Nottingham tour leg at the Chapel in the Angel Mircobrewery, and had a fantastic time. The Chapel is a beautiful room, intimate and allows for a wonderful connection between crowd and artist. Harley and the team were professional, contactable and really helpful both during the booking process and on the day of the show. Parking was handy with nearby street parking and access to the stage via a set of stairs out the back saved going through the pub with all the gear. I can't recommend this venue enough, as a touring artist, and also as a gig goer - they have brilliant artists on and take care to make sure that the nights are top. Thank you from me and the team x

I had such an amazing time at the Angel for my seventeenth birthday. My friends and I enjoyed it so much. The interior design was beautiful and the service was so good and the food was amazing.

Objectively the Angel brews a wide range of own ale and keeps some interesting keg on. Unfortunately the ale is a bit bland for my likeing which I think is due to the water quality in the east midlands area. One boxed cider on, Lilly's fruit type

The Angel is a fantastic pub, with a good selection of craft beer and a charming atmosphere. The team behind the bar are friendly and the DJ was excellent - a perfect Friday night out.

I went in there and had a Blonde 3.9% (pale ale) and it was very nice; it had only just come on so I can’t speak for the other beers. Price was standard if not ‘good’. The young gentleman who served me was very positive and welcoming. The room I sat in (the dining area) had a nice atmosphere. I have been in the large room before on a busy evening and I didn’t think it was very good though. There seemed to be a fairly ‘standard’ crowd in there - whatever that means
