It’s your typical pub chain food, the carvery was pretty decent. Filling and tasty I had the large order which was a good choice.
The overall experience is very positive. Huge hearty portions for the price. Plenty of selection on the menu. The Sunday roast was perfect. The meat was not tough, serve yourself sides, veggies and sauces. Plenty of seating, great drinks selection. We went on Easter and didnt even need a reservation. 2 roasts 1 standard and 1 large with extras and drinks was only £35.
Food was actually really nice & came out quick. Service was friendly, didn’t have the carvery due to previous bad experience(s!) at Kings Mill farm, I know it’s a different establishment within the same chain.
Anyway had the sweet chilli chicken and halloumi burger. Perfectly acceptable.
Friend had the fish and chips and it didn’t look great but he said it tasted better than it looked.
Service really friendly, attentive, cheery and genuine from all staff members that we came across.
Drinks were expensive (as they are in green kings) but still nice.
Puddings are where it’s at and I love the 3 scoops of ice cream of the most amazing flavours / toppings going.
Look forward to going back!
This is one of the best carveys I have ever been too. Not only is the food exceptional, but the price was so cheap. Highly recommended

I've been back for the carvery a few times now, it is very good, lot's of choice. You pay a little more on a Sunday, but they are still serving carvery weekdays!
More recently, breakfast buffet, yum! Don't stock up too much. The eggs are round the corner!
Seems like the same staff doing a fab job, more staff needed on the bar.

Paul, the manager, went above and beyond to help me get a table, served, my food and drink quickly. He was professional and courteous, understanding I was short on time. He talked me through placing my order on the Greene King app and made the process really easy. I'd love to return in the hope of meeting Paul again. Food was hot, fresh and very tasty. Drinks service was quick too. Very very happy customer here. All members of staff were proactive, polite and professional and the environment was clean and relaxing. Excellent up-selling from all members of staff felt personal, not pushy. Thank you. I'll be back.
Standard carvery serving pub, food was good.
Breakfast buffet is on a only go once thing. Me I was happy with that, got given a small plate instead of standard but was still well filled up.
Unlimited toast helped although the lack of marmalade is reflected in my score.
A very very special mention to staff member Michelle, who was amazing at breakfast, and when I returned later in the evening was still working, clearly tired and exhausted but still offering her beautiful smile and customer service. 🎩 Take it off to you

My family and I stumbled on this restaurant. It took away our imagination as we don’t eat out often. The food was great, kids menu was great for my fussy eaters. The cake was lovely and take away option available. Excellent service and friendly staff. A new place for us to visit again and again. I recommend anyone to try for themselves as the price is also lovely 👌

Greeted as soon as I came in, a nice looking building. I used the app to order and the service was fast, and I didn't need to queue for the bar.
The meats available here were delicious. They were cooked really well and carved perfectly so they were really tender, but still really tasty.
The veg and gravy was nice, and the utensil they have for the condiments is really handy.
I was greedy on this occasion as the atmosphere was quite nice and I felt comfy and welcome to stay a bit longer. The desert was really nice, but I decided to take a slice of cake (equivalent to maybe 4 slices of cake) home with me as they advertise a "cake away". I incorrectly ordered the toffee fudge cake as opposed to the chocolate fudge cake, and I was sceptical about its quality, freshness, and taste.
This was probably one of the nicest cakes I've ever had. Moist, tasty, and a more than ample serving.
The staff on shift were really nice, gave off a warm, helpful vibe and seemed to take pride in their jobs.
Really refreshing to see this kind of eatery being done well and I will definitely visit again when in the area.

Okay after a disgusting visit to holly tree farm I swore never to go to another farmhouse inns, except Oldbury, but after detailing my experiences to family and friends I was assured that the cavery at Riverside farm was nice.
I went today. Omg the difference a couple of miles makes. The meat was delicious and a fair portion. Sprouts actually cooked not turned into mush and everything tasted good. No green beans... but plenty of other choice.
A warm welcome on arrival and an altogether different experience from holly tree farm.

My first visit, staff very friendly and helpful , decided to have the large carvery, very generous portion of meat, and the choice of extras is far better than a Toby or stonehouse carvery. Really enjoyed the food, will definitely be coming back .
after arriving there 30 mins early on sunday and explaining to a gentleman called aaron there was only 2 out our 4 eating he was soon to sort us a table out,he came back several times and asked if our food was ok and anything else needed.great service and great food.many thanks and will be re-turning
We have been here quite often over the years and the carvery never disappoints up. The food is so tasty and the meat portions are very good compared with other carvery's.
The staff are always very friendly and helpful. We cannot recommend this place enough.
