Nice historic pub ( it used to be the old Boots pharmacy social club) serving about 12 real ales and ciders and plenty of others on tap. Friendly staff. Serves food. Allows stop overs but be sure to ring ahead. There’s a computer system to input your vehicle details. Do this on arrival or risk being
This Castle Rock pub is great. Lots of space and lots of outdoor space some of which is covered for rainy days or shade for sunny days. We went with friends for a Sunday roast. Food took quite a while to come but when it did we totally forgot about that. It was amazing and huge! Good value for money
A fascinating old building to visit. The pub used to be a Boots pharmacy which opened in 1907, and visual memories in the decor and in pictures on the walls are there to remind you of the building’s past.
The pub is dog friendly and the staff are professional and pleasant to deal with. An excellent

Best Sunday roast I’ve had in ages, portion was massive and all of it was delicious, the slice of stuffing was especially tasty, would highly recommend
Lovely building. Like a pub and registry office all in one.
Great for small weddings, as it has almost everything... car park, history, small area for photos outside. However, was a little let down on the food. Sour dough toast, which was like a rock. And brocoli that was crunchy.... to the point of
I am bound to be bias as my wife and I had our wedding here which was obviously the 2nd best day in both our lives (so far)
