Love this bright yellow shop! Love how they have different things every day, though I'm really missing the cinnamon monster croissant rolls! Perfect place to stop by for a break between work or a treat at the start of the morning. Their filter coffee is great too!

We visited Tough Mary's for the first time today. We sat in for breakfast. Which was very nice. All the time we were there the door was constantly opening and closing as customers came and went. The sourdough bread we purchased before leaving was delicious. As were the cakes and pastries. To sum up Tough Mary's is small but perfectly formed. Well worth a visit.

My son brought home bread and mince pies for Christmas from this fabulous bakery - they were absolutely delicious. Can't wait to visit the shop. Especially recommend the dark rye bread and brownies.

I'm really quite excited about the current revolution in food, in particular the fact that really good, artisanal, bread is now being produced in the city (Nottingham), by people with an ethical approach to doing business. In my opinion Tough Mary's currently offer the best bread in the city.

Tried the bread today, really nice. The best we have tried since having artisan bread rater than a commercial loaf. We will be back and try some of the other goodies too.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting a charming independent bakery in my neighborhood, and I cannot contain my excitement to share my delightful experience. This hidden gem of a bakery exceeded all my expectations and left me with a heartwarming feeling that is hard to put into words. I was greeted by the aroma of freshly baked bread and pastries, which instantly transported me to a world of culinary bliss. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff added to the overall welcoming ambiance, making me feel right at home. The bakery boasts an impressive selection of artisanal bread, sweet and savoury pastries. What truly sets this bakery apart is their commitment to quality ingredients. I love supporting local businesses and this is one of my favourites. Recommend 100%. I have also had the pleasure of trying their coffee, which perfectly complements the baked goods. Overall, my experience at this independent bakery was nothing short of exceptional. It is a testament to the power of small businesses that pour their heart and soul into their craft. I wholeheartedly recommend this bakery to anyone seeking a memorable, delicious, and community-driven culinary experience. There are parking bays outside of the bakery which are linked to the "RingGo" so you can pay from your phone.

Great selection of cakes, pastries and sandwiches, I wish I could have tried them all. The chocolate and hazelnut pastry was fantastic, I really enjoyed everything I had here, although the hot chocolate would have been better with dark chocolate instead of milk. Would definitely return if I was in the area.

Frittata was delicious, sandwich was delicious, Guinness chocolate cake probably the best cake I’ve ever had, Banana bread fantastic. Coffee also amazing, leaves a caramel aftertaste. I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s an absolute must If you ever visit Nottingham.

We stopped here for some traditional breads and sweets. They have a wide selection of sourdoughs and other traditional breads as well as a nice selection of croissants and pastries. The country sourdough loaf had excellent crumb and finish and a mild taste. The pastries were nicely seasoned but had a nice balance of seasoning to bread taste.

I don’t usually leave reviews but I felt like I had to. The pastries are immaculate, we had the Danish and the Copenhagen. The Danish was flakey, topped with pistachio and the nicest blood orange, the flavour was just top tier and a must try. The Copenhagen was super fluffy and just a delight, it had a slight tang from the rhubarb jam (I think it was) that counteracted the sweetness which thankfully was not over the top. We also had a tomato (among other ingredients) soup and a grilled cheese, both were excellent although at 7.50 each the grilled cheese left a bit to be desired flavour wise but I dipped it in the soup and it makes for an excellent combo. Perhaps something for tough Mary’s to think about making deal where you can upgrade the slices of sour dough for a grilled cheese at a reduced cost for the two. I’m not a massive hot drinks person so I don’t think I can provide great insight into what constitutes a great one other than the fact the hot chocolate I had was delicious. I absolutely love to see places like this thrive and it deserves to, definitely a place I’d find myself going back to so that I could work my way through the menu.

Been here on several occasions and generally it is quite busy and you will find people queuing up and that's for a good reason. One down fall which I found more recently for Muslims is that the bakery for is that they use alcohol as an ingredient for many of their pastries.

I love this bakery. The pastries are so crisp and delicious. There's so many choose from, including some classics and a few quirky little gems. The staff are so lovely and happy to recommend any of the pastries. On my last visit I got the Coppenhagen, which I absolutely loved. It had a lovely, sweet plum jam filling and the pastry was light and airy. Such a great little brunch treat. The coffee is also fab and they offer a choice of different milks. I've only ever visited for breakfast/brunch pastries but would love to try a sandwich or the focaccia. There is a small seating area inside and outside, usually with a free table, but it can get busy at the weekend.

Wonderful place to visit for breakfast, brunch or lunch. The display of sweet and savoury bakes is outstanding - and they all tasted as good as they look. Something for everyone, with vegans well catered for. Get some bread to take home whilst you're there - it's delicious too.
