Very happy to have found this place today. Purchased a bag full of lunch time delights and think I’ve just tasted the worlds best brownie, quite a claim I know, but try them and I think you’ll agree.

I was lucky enough to attend a sourdough bread tasting event with Kim, the head baker. I enjoyed it immensely and learned a lot about different flours and their breads, which were all delicious. The bakers there are passionate about what they produce and where the ingredients come from and Kim was generous in sharing her knowledge and experience with us. I stocked up on organic flour, a gorgeous sourdough loaf and a sourdough Eccles cake that tasted sublime!

This place has became the only place i would get my bread in Nottingham! Enjoyed having brunch with some baked pastry and proper coffee from a range of local roaster. Its great that they support the local producers where possible. Enjoyed everything here, sourdough, cinnamon bun, weekly specials doughnuts, danish pastry...etc. The layers in the pastry are spot on, so many flakey layers and perfectly flavoured. Keep up the good work Kim, Nathan and the team!

I have been wanting to visit the Small Food Bakery for some time now! And wowwwww I wasn't disappointed! Want a wonderful food haven, great environment, friendly staff, AMAZING sourdough delicacies! I've just stuffed my face with the Hommity sourdough and it was totally delicious! We brought home quite a big bag of other sourdough goodies too! We sat and had a coffee (blooming marvellous) and sourdough pain au chocolat 🖒🖒 ! Want to experience a food producer who injects massive amounts of love into what they do...then head on over to the Small Food Bakery

So glad I stumbled upon this stall! This bakery will now be my go-to place for bread. No more shop bought rubbish, I'll be picking up my loaf each Friday. Thanks for the deliciousness (beetroot sourdough is heaven)

Simply brilliant, went on kims bakery course for sour dough virgins and I'm an absolute convert! Nothing quite like a tarte but savoury sour dough croissant or an awesome cheese and asparagus pastry like I had today. Good job guys!!!!

This place is perfect! I could stay here forever. The bakery serves delicious treats, the coffee is amazing, and the staff are all incredible. The art, books, big windows, and serene atmosphere make it so inviting. I've already toured this place three times in one day and still want to explore more; there's just so much to see!

Best sourdough bread in Nottingham! Bought one made with organic wholemeal flour milled to 90%. Very decent 1kg loaf with lots of air captured in it - lasted us 3 days so far (kept wrapped) without going stale and solid. Tastes so good too - enough of that authentic sourdough taste without being over-powering. Worth the price of £4.50 compared to a Beeston bakery sourdough at £3.80 but for only 700g loaf that has less air in and went solid after 3 days. See comparison in photos

Since it is gaining lot of admiration for great quality and variety, we thought of popping in to find out. And we were not disappointed and true to it's reviews, the bakery had some excellent products all freshly baked. The lovely treats were flying of the shelves as it was lunchtime but we got their just in time to enjoy their delicious vegetarian pizzas featured in the photos. We also had some great filter coffee too, a delicious Christmas blend. Apart from freshly baked breads, they also had some delightful jams and quirky chutneys on sale. And not to forget the yummy cakes, bars, buns. Mostly people were ordering takeaways but we sat down in their cosy little area which is filled with books for you to read while waiting. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, friendly staff and intend to go back to try more of their products.

SFB is a great-bread beacon that beams so brightly! Everything they bake, from their satisfying and flavoursome breads to their indulgent and luxurious pastries, epitomise the care they take with their ingredients, and the high regard that they have for their suppliers. I love this. I have huge admiration for the SFB team of dedicated true artisans working tirelessly to produce bread of such high quality. I thank them all for my modest purchases, and I look forward to being able to sit at a table, sip a coffee and wallow in the heady pleasures of baking bread!!!!

This place is just amazing. Obviously the bread and pastries are stunning, but it's the people. From Kim the owner to the rest of the team. Their passion for clean honest food is genuine. Really makes you think about your loaf of kingsmill bread. The courses they do are truly fantastic too. I've done one. Wish I could get here more often.
