Best cafe in Nottingham. I get breakfast cobs for colleagues at work and they are cooked perfectly, no grease. Staff are lovely and the owner is the best chef :)

The breakfast are amazing the only place I know that you can get a fry up with NO grease on the plate and it's cooked beautifully ... plus afterwards you need to go and lay down because your so full
I've become very fond of this wonderfully unpretentious cafe since moving into one of the Sneinton Market units last July. The food is fresh, well cooked and comes in incredibly generous portions. It's also very reasonably priced. The proprietor Chris is a lovely chap and works his socks off to keep his customers happy. If service is ever slow it's because the cafe is really busy and Chris is doing all the cooking himself! I love it :)
Great place and great food every time! I always chat to the owner - very friendly and they cook me lots of meat. Important to note that most of the bad reviews written on here are NOT written by actual customers - just other jealous business owners who are trying to 'compete' by immorally slandering this café. What distasteful people they truly are! Straight to hell.

Excellent breakfasts! Opens at 7am every morning which is really convenient when you're working just over the road at the Motorpoint Arena. Friendly staff and good food.

This was our first time visiting GB Cafe and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!
We were met with a very friendly waitress who was able to guide us through some of the dishes on the menu.
The food was top notch! With great portions and plenty to choose from - the menu had a lot to offer.
This cafe/ Diner was also great value for money, too!

We went here on a Friday evening after reading about how good it is on r/nottingham. Everything I read was true, the food here is really really good. We had a selection of dishes including Sichuan Beef in oil, Pork belly and braised vegetables, Nasi Goreng, Crispy fried tofu and ribs. Everything was outstanding.
The staff are really friendly and helpful and we were made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. We'll definitely be going back soon to try some other items off their menu.
Managed to grab a table on Friday evening without a problem. Had heard a lot of good things about the Eastern food on the menu and we were not disappointed! The portion sizes were good. We had two starters, three mains and three bottles of beer and it came to £22pp. The staff were lovely and the food was great, I recommend the Sichuan sliced beef (if you're not scared of spice 🌶️) and the nasi goreng.

Malaysian Chicken Curry:
This curry was incredibly tasty. The chicken was soft and the spices were spot on. It was creamy, spicy, and really satisfying.
Chinese Beef Fried Rice Noodles:
These noodles were great too. The beef was tender and the noodles had a delicious smoky flavor. The veggies were crunchy and everything was just delicious.
If you want some great Asian food, go for GB Cafe. Their food is fresh, flavorful, and will definitely make you happy!
First time to try, the food are yummy with pleasant service, environment is relax and clean. This restaurant has Chinese style, Singapore style, Japanese style and also western style of food. A wide variety of foods can be chose which can be satisfied all members of family.

Wow loving this diner, such a mix of amazing foods and jam packed with all kinds of different people, from white English builders to lots of Asian people.
Food was fantastic, ordered the salmon sashimi and the prawn wat tan ho. Would have preferred it if they had made a traditional seafood wat tan ho, but it was still really good. Great friendly staff, love it, its my new fave in Nottingham!

Many friends recommended the excellent Malaysian and Asian cuisine here, so I came specially to try it out.
The first time we came, initially, I wanted to order Hainanese chicken rice, but unfortunately, it was sold out due to its popularity. In the end, I ordered a bowl of seafood laksa soup with ho fan and seafood tom yum soup with rice noodle. The result was pleasantly surprising as the seafood portion was generous, and the large prawns were delicious and large. The laksa soup had an outstanding flavor.
The quality of the food was satisfying and reminiscent of the taste I had in Malaysia, leaving a lasting impression.
The restaurant's interior decoration was simple and lacked Malaysian characteristics, but it was still clean and tidy.
We come here secone time today, we tried Hainanese chicken rice, roasted duck soup noodles, Sushi planet and Braised beef brisket rice. All the food was fantastic, with generous portions that left us feeling satisfied. The service today was excellent and worth recommending.
