The restaurant area is quite small, and is very popular, so booking is a 'must'. The staff are warm and welcoming and the tables a reasonable size. There is a standard menu, with specials on 3 chalk boards around the room. There is plenty of choice, but fish and sea food are their forte. Everything that we ate was piping hot, plentiful, and served promptly. The portions are a good size. Their is a decent selection of wine and gins, as well as a well-stocked bar. They have a 'proper' coffee machine too. I very highly recommend The Wood Lark.

Our favourite pub. The food is stunning, the freshest fish, the best steak, proper home cooked chips and lots of fresh vegetables. The hard working staff are always friendly and welcoming.

Stopped off for a pint and some food after a walk, I’d just missed the dinner service but when I mentioned I was just after some chips, despite them clearly being busy, they told me they could do that for me. Really friendly staff and some of the best chips I’ve ever had. Would definitely be back for more food in the future, will be booking ahead too.

If your vegeterian just not worth it.(£15 for half a falafel sandwich, posh salad and a small portion of chips)The service is fantastic all the fish/steak dishes looked top notch.Very nice pub, very clean and great beer selection,I will definitely go again but I won't bother with the veggie option.

Loved this place. Loved the service from the staff, and the food was amazing. I have the Portuguese seafood dish, and it's the best I have ever tasted 😋 I will be going there again for definite. Me and my friend was very impressed. The only downside was parking, but I would put up work that for the whole package you get at this place, which was great.

I’m a bit late posting but wanted to share a lovely dining experience at this super little, friendly pub restaurant. The food was amazing and well presented. It had a lovely Christmas feel.

Dinner The best for seafood in Notts. If you like your fish, then this is Plaice. A lovely little pub in Lambley. Serving up freshly cooked seafood as well as some pub grub favourites. But we're only here for the fish. One look at the specials board and the choice is difficult as we could have had all of it. We decided on Starters Cornish Monkfish Goujons £9 Scallops pan fried in garlic butter £10 Mains Cod Loin pan-fried, served with German potatoes,Tenderstem Broccoli parsley sauce. £15. King prawns pan-fried in garlic butter, spring onions, topped with crispy calamari and fries £18. Desserts Orio cheesecake £7 Crème Brulee £7 The food is amazing and exceptional value for this standard of cooking. It's as good, if not better, than what comes out of any high-end kitchen in Cornwall. For fresh fish dshes at reasonable prices, there's no need to go to a fancy restaurant or high-end gastropub.

Fantastic little pub. Traditional pub serving a good choice of real ales pulled properly. The food is amazing, particularly the seafood. Definitely be back.
