We come to this restaurant often because the Korean food is pretty authentic and full of flavour! We have tried many dishes on their menu by luck and none of them have disappointed us. The photos below are only the most recent dishes we ordered.
Remember to book a table because it's a small restaurant. You might not get a sweat especially during peak time. We did walk-in twice and they were full.
authentic but not that good, can be better i guess. but there is no other nicer korean restaurants in town so i sometimes go here
If you are in a good mood for some Korean food this restaurant is a great option🌟. The menu has a good variety of dishes and the food is always fresh and delicious🍛. The service is also great - the staff is friendly and attentive. They have enough vegetarian dishes too. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a good Korean meal. 😋
First time visit, but will return! Menu great selection, food was stunningly tasty and portions just right. Service was very friendly and attentive. Price wise, good and competitive with similar restaurants, but for authentic korean experience cant go wrong here. Highly suggest giving it a go!
Very authentic Korean food, great place for a casual meal. It has a large variety of dishes and is very well priced. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a taste of Korea.
The best Korean food that I have ever eaten in the UK! The people who run this restaurant are so lovely and I can’t recommend enough if you want AUTHENTIC Korean food! The best place to go in Nottingham for Korean food 100%.
We had a great first dinner here tonight. The staff were really friendly and every piece of food was perfect. I recommend the friend chicken and the beef kimbap.
It felt very cosy inside and had a real authentic feel to it.

Seems like a real Korean restaurant. We ordered couple of typical meals. We enjoyed the meal. The bibimbap that I ordered was a bit too dry for me. The kimbap was tasty, the photo talks by itself I believe. It seems like the place is favored by Asian people. This was a good sign for us. We hadn't had reservation, so we needed to wait half hour for a table. I would suggest you to reserve a table.

Beef on hot pan- marinated in sauce before frying, one of my favorite in this place
Egg roll-Can’t bit a beautiful korean egg roll. Let the protein rocket go 🚀
Zhajiang noodle - one bite is enough to travel back to Korea. Bit light taste, would prefer more salt 🧂
Zhacai - vegetable fried clear noodles yummy
Milkis - Korean soda drink yogurt flavor

Went here with my partner - Portion sizes were large. The food was very tasty. I was looking for an authentic Korean food experience and judging from other's reviews I found one. It isn't cheap but it was worth it. The food also came out extremely fast and the staff were lovely.
A large group of us ate here this evening so plenty of different dishes were tried and the food was soooo good. It was quiet so lacked a little atmosphere but the food and service certainly made up for it

I book table for 2 to say I love you to my partner who love Korean food.SARANGCHAE means I love you.Food is great.You better book table as it is busy.I think International students love authentic taste of Korean food. Lunch time at Sunday was full of customers what make us happy.Decor could be a bit updated as it's does looks like more takeaway place although we love food.Big portions.

Absolutely delicious and amazing! It was my first go....BUT NOT THE LAST! I can guarantee you that! Worth it all! Small chilled restaurant with a huge impact in delicious food! I am telling you.....YOU MUST GO!
Always such a good time at Sarangchae! Had the crispy nut chicken (must-have), doenjang jiggae (comforting) & beef gimbap (homey) here and everything was amazing as usual.

🍲Kimchi Jjigae with kimchi dumplings
Jjigae is a Korean stew and usually served in a pot. I love seeing the Jjigae boiling hot when it’s served. So warm and satisfying 🥰 The Jjigae included kimchi, kimchi dumplings, tofu, vermicelli noodles and served with rice. Some pork belly were used to make the soup more tasty. It’s spicy, hot and fabulously piquant 😋

Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for authentic Korean food. Jjigae is absolutely one of my fav Korean dish. How about you?
