Celebrated my birthday here, honestly can’t compliment the staff enough, so friendly and welcoming! They were so kind to decorate the table themselves beforehand. Can rave on and on about the steak, one of the bests in Notts. Tender and smooth to cut, well seasoned and perfectly cooked how I’d asked. Enjoyed the salmon fillet as well although the steak was the showstopper. The gave us complimentary sorbet in the end as well. The only constructive criticism I’d have is that for a place this famous, world famous chef and stuff, I think the decor could’ve been better.
Having visited Marco Pierre White’s recently for dinner we were absolutely blown away by the warm welcome, the friendly staff go out of their way to make you feel at home. For me this can be just as important as the food & these guys know how to give the VIP treatment. Nothing is too much trouble. The food was simply exceptional, calamari was exactly how we like it, the burrata creamy & at the perfect temperature. The rare chateaubriand was presented beautifully & showed off how it has been cooked impeccably with the pink meat enticing you to dive in & when you do it slices like butter & tastes divine. The sides of chips, mac & cheese, king prawns & onion rings were an indulgence we had to say yes to & it did not disappoint. We devoured everything in sight & couldn’t fault a thing. Those onion rings in particular are worth the trip alone. The brownie rounded off our evening perfectly, the gooey chocolate goodness ticking all the boxes. I honestly can’t recommend this place enough.
Wonderful stake house. Service been great and lovely staff attended us.
Food was perfect, got our stakes correct with our rare orders.
Desert was gorgeous to top it off!!
Whats pretty interesting you can choose your stake knife and they all different.
Well, where should I begin?!...... this place is a dream. The place is beautifully decorated and set out. The staff are veyond polite and can not be more helpful. So let talk about the food! It far surpassed every expectation and was some of the most delicious food we have ever eaten. I wish I could give more than 5 stars as after 3 weeks since our visit, I am still craving the food from here. This has become our favourite place to eat now due to every aspect of our experience.
We visited in the evenings a few times and have always looked longingly at the Sunday roast. This Sunday we actually remembered to book a table!
It's a step up from our local pub grub, and we were all really impressed. Lots of lovely food but what made it really good was the service. Our 9 year old wanted the full knife choosing experience, and the team were only too happy to oblige.
As a vegetarian there is only one option which I have eaten there before so they made me a roast without the meat which is always appreciated. Five stars also go to the desserts which were delicious.
I really enjoyed the evening with my family. Good food, nice atmosphere, beautiful decor.
Excellent staff, great food, amazing service. Made our wedding anniversary that little bit more special with their personal touch. Many thanks.
Fabulous food, stylish restaurant and great service! We have visited twice and will definitely be going back again. The Chateaubriand was amazing!
Dined here for Afternoon Tea on Saturday afternoon. The atmosphere was calm and classic. The afternoon tea food selection was varied and delicious. We were looked after by a waiter name William who was helpful, polite, cheery and accommodating.
Had a fabulous meal last night for a group of 9. The service was spot and everyone’s food was simply perfect. Couldn’t fault it. Thank you!
My partner and I had a superb meal out. The food was fantastic, service great and we even went through to the casino after to have a little gamble. Wonderful evening.
I had booked a meal for my wife's birthday via the online booking. This was confirmed with a polite phone call the day before, at which point I was asked if this was for a special occasion. I mentioned my Wife's birthday and they noted this as part of the booking.
When we arrived, the greeting staff were very polite and offered to take our coats, after which they kindly directed us to our table. The table had been decorated with Birthday confetti and a happy birthday balloon, which was a nice little touch.
The waiting staff were very polite, however the service was much slower than we would have expected given the restaurant was not busy at this point. This resulted in us waiting 20mins to be asked what we would like to drink. We noted our server seemingly more interested in talking to other members of staff than seeing to our, and other, tables.
The food more than made up for the slow service and was well worth the wait. The staff were also happy to make alterations from the menu, making the experience that much better.
A special Birthday desert which had a hand written 'Happy Birthday' message on it was brought out at the end. My wife was very delighted with this gesture, although it was difficult to fully appreciate it after all the food we had eaten!
Once done with the meal you will have the choice of a very short walk to the Alea casino or a slightly further walk into Nottingham town centre. Making the restaurant perfectly positioned to continue your night however you see fit. Hopefully luck is on your side if you venture into the Casino!
All in all, it was a good meal that was only really let down by the slower than expected service.
My partner and I went to the Nottingham branch.
The service and the environment were faultless! The service in particular was brilliant, very friendly staff; I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. The strawberry bubblegum drink shown in the pictures was wonderful (it is a non-alcoholic cocktail). The lady said it was her first time making that drink and it was absolutely amazing, I would have that every day.
The only reason why it is 4 stars and not 5 is the food. The food was lovely, but the main courses were not special enough. The main courses nice enough but not as astonishing as the service and the environment. Instead it was rather average, the billionaire slice (with edible gold, I forgot exactly what it was called) was very nice, but the mousse was excessively heavy.
We went for afternoon tea. Excellent service, very attentative. I only gave the food a 4 as I'm not that keen on mustard and horseradish sauce.
